6A #8 Butler vs. #9 Manual

Butler lost to Male 35-6. The Bears record is 4-2 with the other defeat to 2A #2 DeSales. Butler’s wins were over Bullitt East, Western, Fern Creek and Doss. Sophomore QB Chaz Burks leads the Bears offense with junior running backs Jalan Ward and Eric Jackson splitting the rushing chores. Juniors Demontae Crumes, and Frank Caldwell are the leading pass receivers. Two freshmen are included in the roster of 84.

 

Manual thrashed Seneca 42-0 and raised their record to 3-2. Sophomore QB Zach Rectenwald leads the Crimsons attack. Senior Marcis Floyd and junior Aidin Robbins are the leading ground gainers with Floyd the key pass catcher for the Manual team. Seven freshmen are included in the 50-player roster.

 

Manual defeated Butler 28-0 in 2016, 47-0 in 2015, and 35-0 in 2014. Butler last won the 2012 in this series.
