You really think the guy assigned to call the first game of the season at UVA named Robert Lee wasn't at least a little self aware as things were exploding there? August 25, 20179 yr Apparently, the general public is at a collective emotional age equivalent to a pre-adolescent child and coupled with the fact that we are completely unable to think critically about anything. The PC movement hasn't helped us much.
September 25, 20179 yr First time I have been able to watch ESPN in the morning in forever. Since 8am they havent spoken a single thing about a sports event, not one thing.

ESPN losing big dollars as is the NFL. Some of those losses can be attributed to this, but that piece of the pie is but a sliver when you consider the losses because of cord-cutters. Don't blow it up to make it seem like it's the sole reason, the way the POTUS has. ESPN and the NFL are under assault for a lot of things (concussions, high subscription rates, criminal behavior, sexism, just to name a few). I would say concussions is the single biggest reason the NFL is losing fans, much more so than the Anthem controversy.
