00Rocket28 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I've not heard good things about that department.
AverageJoesGym Posted August 3, 2016 Author Posted August 3, 2016 I've not heard good things about that department. I didn't do an in depth study but it sounds like the shooter had no business wearing a badge. Thankfully everyone is going to be okay. Bizarre situation.
00Rocket28 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'm sure the majority of the department are decent folks, but in departments that size you'll have a few turds. Seems like I remember an officer from there wrecking on duty and being well over the limit DUI.
littleluck55 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 He had an up and down career. He was shot close range, killed the suspect, received medal of valor, commendations etc. pulled a woman from a burning car. Sounds like he was an alcoholic though and they were already investigating him.

00Rocket28 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Classic Political Correctness?? It's never "their" fault--Sad. What?
StickerMann Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 What? Regarding "why he was still employed with such a checkered past"----It's impossible to get rid of anyone in most occupations, especially public service ones; due to political correctness. It's never anyone's fault any more in case you've missed it?? Doesn't seem too difficult to those who pay attention??

No need to get smart, just trying to get a little clarification on what you were referencing
StickerMann Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 No need to get smart, just trying to get a little clarification on what you were referencing No worries--Sarcastic, but well intended. Hope I clarified, but the PC atmosphere is getting hard to handle.
00Rocket28 Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I don't think it's PC. Probably far more likely a strong Union there. If the department hasn't been able to get alcohol and/or DUI stuff into the policy, because of the Union, then they can't necessarily fire him. You say too PC, I've seen a lot of cops fired for way less...
