This statement would hold more water if the 1 to 3A schools SK played were bad teams. Playing Beechwood, Newport Catholic, CAL, I would argue are better teams than about half the 5A and 6A teams. Oh yeah Holy Cross, hmm didnt Holy Cross when a state title when SK played them on year.

Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. 6A playing 1-3A with the occasional mediocre 4A school was pretty pitiful. That's fine and dandy until people start pumping up the win totals. It was what SK needed at the time, but it wasn't anything to shout about. The past two years have been where they need to be.

Voted for Larky. What he did at Rock was very impressive in the 90/00's and then later in his career come back and establish Harlan County was awesome. Had the current alignment been in effect while he was at Rock, Larkey may have won one or two titles away from the Bluebirds or Boyle

He has done a great job and made SK one of the top 3 programs in NKY consistently every year. However to try to defend the scheduling is very weak. I think he would even admit if he could do it again, that he definitely would have beefed up his schedule. Which by the way they didn't play Holy Cross the year they won the title. SK scheduled them two years after they won the title. So not a good example.
