The Wayne County Cardinals are champions of the 2015 Smoky Mountain Classic defeating Lebanon, TN 82-75, Oxford, MS 55-47, and Calvary Christian (FL) 74-60 in the championship game. Great showing by the WC Cardinals and Coach Rodney Woods. Corey Stearns is still out with a foot injury and there's no timeline on his return.

Wayne beat three excellent teams with combined records of 25 & 4 to win their second Smokey Mountain Classic in three years. Our football guys are starting to get their basketball skills, plus another junior that had no varsity experience, so when Stearns does come back, we will compete for this region again.
