I agree, it would never enter your mind as a possibility. But now that I sit here and actually think about what is being moved, and how awkwardly top heavy most of them are, it is a wonder that there haven't been more serious accidents. I think we all have been lucky!

I am heartsick thinking about this. Everyone is a victim in this story, from the deceased player, to his teammates and coaches, to the administration, and most of all his parents and family. What a gut wrenching episode to have to live through.

 

As a parent, I can't imagine my kid going to practice and then never coming back home again, especially in such a bizarre accident.
