Going to get this thread started. The winner will face Garrard County in the 12th Region semi-final game on Monday. Garrard County upset Wayne County in the first game of the night.

Rockcastle County's man-to-man defense is giving Burgin fits.

 

Senior Jessi Asher hits a 3 to to open the scoring. She's playing pretty agressive right now. The score is 3-0 with about 6:00 left in the first quarter.

Neither team is playing particularly well. Rockcastle County can't get the ball to go into the basket and Burgin has had trouble handling the ball.

 

Rockcastle County now leads 5-4.

1:10 left in the quater, Rockcastle County leads 9-8.

 

The Harris girls are causing Rockcastle County problems on the inside.

At the end of the first quarter, Rockcastle County now leads 11-8 over Burgin. The Lady Rockets are getting some good minutes from seventh grader Sara Hammond off the bench.

Rockcastle County now leads 19-12 behind some good shooting by Rachel Killen. The Lady Dawg defense has been smothering Rockcastle County's Sarah Rowe and Ashley Lunsford all game so far and have held them to no points.

At the end of the first half, Rockcastle County now leads 23-16.

With about 4 minutes remaining, Rockcastle County has a 27-19 lead. The Lady Rockets are shooting the ball horribly right now.

Burgin is controlling the boards right now. They made a run to cut it to 3 but Sarah Rowe makes a huge 3-pointer to make it a 30-24 Lady Rocket lead.

Rockcastle County has pushed the lead out to 39-30 in the fourth quarter. Ashley Lunsford just got into the scoring column.

With 5:02 remaining, Rockcastle County now has a 13 point lead.

Rockcastle County has opened this game WIDE OPEN and now lead by 18. It's now 49-31. The Lady Rocket defense is giving them some easy baskets. Burgin needs to take care of the basketball if they don't want this game to get ugly.
