Assumption beat #1 ranked Indianapolis Cathedral 3 games to 1. 25-22, 25-19, 25-16, 26-24. Was shocked that Cathedral jumped from #118 at end of last year to #1 to start this year. Mercy and Sacred Heart will face off tomorrow afternoon at SH.

Anyone know what happened with the Mercy vs. Sacred Heart match?

My mistake--game was at Mercy and they won 3-0, 25-19, 25-18, 25-14. Mercy didn't seem to be firing on all cylinders for the entire match--a little sloppy at times, but still was too overpowering for Sacred Heart. SH needs to develop some more offensive options other than Hammond. They also had way to many service errors.

 

Mercy will be traveling north to face St Henry next week on the 2nd, followed by NDA at home on the 4th and Assumption at their place on the 8th. Assumption's strength is back row defense. If they can frustrate your hitters enough to make mistakes, they will beat you. Hitting not as strong this year, but they can score points.
