RomanEmpire Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 No surprise here. Congrats to the young man. Best of luck.
LOOGY Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Congrats! The kid just made a 40 year commitment. Not many schools beat a Purdue engineering degree which is what I heard he wanted to do. Hope he does well up there
kypride Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Nice. Big 10 football and an engineering degree from Purdue. Really only 1 place can beat that and its Georgia Tech but they run flexbone.
Jumper_Dad Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I guess all of the speculation about his interest in the Engineering Dept was well founded after all>
Lawnboy13 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 ....and I thought DreamKiller would be the 1st to post this news. Congrats to Elijah :dancingpa
DreamKiller Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I have been busy all day. I am glad that Elijah made the right choice for his education. Follow in the footsteps of Drew Brees.
John Anthony Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Knew he would end up in B10 but didn't know where, he fits the Boilermaker system well. Congrats!
tcjkbt Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Best of luck to him. He is following Bluegrass players Trevor Foy (OL--St. X) and Daylin Dawkins (RB--Trinity)......and maybe some others.......let's hope the Boilers can put it together.
DreamKiller Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Elijah had a great sports day today, as he also scored his 1,000th point for the basketball Tigers tonight.:dancingpa I guess I will be learning a lot about Purdue in the near future,
PtownDude Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 In this case, education really did trump sports. From a football only standpoint, I think Neal Brown's offense at UK is better suited to Sindelar. Especially since it's almost the exact same offense he's running at Caldwell County now! Purdue does some under-center stuff that Caldwell doesn't really do. The only time Sindelar is under center is usually in Victory formation. Ultimately, Purdue's engineering school was too much for Sindelar to pass up. I thought he was leaning that way for a long time, but with recruiting you never know for sure. Ralph Sampson was going to Kentucky up until the moment he stepped up to the mic and said "Virginia."
