    A little morning Squirrel hunt.

Me and a couple of my family members, went on a brisk cool summer morning Sunday. I had forgotten how much fun Squirrel hunting was. My father and I entered the woods from the right flank and my two brothers from down in the holler. I seen some cuttings underneath a hickory and we set down, and listened. We heard some squacking and cutting and it gave me chicken skin. I gave my father first shot at a gray squirrel and then I picked one off. I was using 22. Cal scope (Winchester). We met up with my brothers and went back to farm. Man did we have a squirrel fry, Good old fashion gravy and some green beans from the garden. What a wonderful day, it brought back alot of good ole memories.

That is a great story and you had a great hunt indeed . Hunting is a tradition passed down through families and friends. I hope that parents out there that hunt can pass down the tradition to their children and to our youth. That is what will ensure our right to hunt for years to come. Again, thanks for the story - brings back a lot of the Ramblers memories as well. Fried squirrel, gravy, green beans and cat head biscuts................um...ummmmm, that is some fine table fare.
