  1. In basketball size rules! How many college basketball players that are 6'8" and above wouldn't be near as good if they were 6'0"? ...Would they even be good enough to play at that level if they were 6'0"? Now answer this; how many 6'0" basketball players have enough talent but are not big enough to play at that level? There are hundreds (if not thousands) of 6'0" kids out there with talent that don't play college ball because only the "cream of the crop" make it to that level. I believe Euton has size and talent, so your question "Would Euton be as good of a player if he was 6'0? I highly doubt it." is irrelevant! That's like saying...If Watts was 5'3" would he be as good? Also if you were a college coach recruiting, who would you want more on your team? A 6'8" kid that can shoot 38% from 3-point range or a 6'0" kid that can shoot 41% from 3-point range. Both are very good players, and everyone has their opinion. So don't get mad because everyone out there does not think that Watts is the best freshman in the state.
  2. I would guess that some of these boys will bypass freshman ball and play JV so they may not meet in a freshman game.
  3. Boone Co. & Ryle have strong freshmen classes this year; along with Highlands and Newport I would consider these schools having the strongest freshmen classes in NKY
  4. You're right, I saw the gym last week and it is smaller. I believe it seats about 2,500. However, it is very nice, fold down seats in the lower part of the gym, all four sides.
  5. I agree, too many seniors; not much for building the program and developing younger players. I would bet the "ranch" that the season will not end with the same number of seniors that they start the season with. I've never seen a team go 12 deep and get enough playing time to keep everyone happy.
  6. As good a player that Cody was in high school, he went Division III. That tells something right there. It takes a special player to be a Div I prospect much less actually receive a Div I scholarship. Currently I don't think anyone in the 14th Region is a true Div I prospect. Not saying that could change in the near future.
