  1. Depends on your budget and how large of a safe you're looking for. You can buy a cheaper safe like a Cannon or pay possibly double for a better safe like Liberty. Keep in mind thickness of metal, type of locking mechanism and fire rating (I recommend a minimum of 60 minutes) should be your main concerns. Door construction is also important. Your better gun safes have 1/2" or thicker solid plate steel in the door.

Below are some links you can browse for safes, hope they help you.

I'm currently feeling sick.  Headache, congestion, cough, sore throat, borderline fever, and stomach is a bit queasy.  Started Thursday evening and got a lot worse yesterday evening, and today I was so tired a barely got out of bed for more than 5 minutes most of the day.  Took a test and it was negative.  If I still feel bad tomorrow, I'll try to take another test.  Seems like it's a crapshoot.  Healthy people test positive and vice versa.

I wonder if you had the flu. Hope you're feeling much better now!

  3. Congrats to UC on a heck of a season! You belonged in the playoff. Just didn't have an answer for Bama's run game. Only big negative was Deshawn Pace's unsportsmanlike penalty, allowed his frustration to hurt his team. Really unfortunate.

Congrats to Desmond Ridder on a great college career!

Prior to covid, we try to make a trip a couple times each year up to Columbus to see them there. Still several from the Newport cast performing.

I'm going to have to go. I took my wife and a friend there a few years ago, I met @swamprat for a Blue Jackets game while they were at Shadowbox. Maybe I can do a game and the Shadowbox... 🤔

Only went to Gameworks a couple of times over the years. Most of the time we went to either Mitchell's Fish Market or Shadowbox when they were there.

Shadowbox was always a blast! I miss that place and Cafe Istanbul the most.

Many years ago, Acropolis Chili was okay. Don't know how it is now or if it's still around. Empress was always pretty good when it was around.

I generally agree with that sentiment, but not in the last two minutes of a blow out. If there were 7 or 8 minutes left and you feel you want to put some stuff on film for future opponents to worry about, that's cool. But in this situation it seemed like a crappy move.

At this level and above, my take is their offense is on the field to score points, not to make the opposing team feel better. I have no problem with what they did. If the team I'm a fan of gets blown out and the opposing team continues to try to score, it won't bother me. It's football to me. I realize it sucks to be on the losing end of that, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Just my two cents worth.

  8. So I saw a little bit of the interview yesterday. The one striking thing to me was how Baldwin talked about how he had the hammer cocked back and admitted that he let the hammer go and the weapon went off. Well duh! Of course it did, it's a single action revolver. So he claims he didn't pull the trigger, but he let the hammer drop. Same thing. What a fool!

You're responsible for the gun in your hand, period.

Also, this screams attorney driven formulated response to me. If something that tragic happened in my life, the entire time I'm helping the victim I'm making it clear my finger never touched the trigger.

    Couldn't agree more!

    From Forbes.com:

Rust assistant director Dave Halls backed up Alec Baldwin's claim that he didn't pull the trigger of the gun that shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, an attorney for Halls said Thursday, adding to the mystery of how a gun with live ammunition ended up killing someone on the movie set.

"His finger was never in the trigger guard.”

Torraco said Halls told her it was a “misfire” and “a pure accident — freak, awful accident [that] unfortunately killed somebody.”

    ==================

I am just sitting here scratching my head.

I guess they are all claiming the gun fired on its own.

I did hear a news report claiming the armorer said one of the rounds she put in the gun didn't originally fit in the gun but she cleaned it up (or something like that) and put it in the gun.  Yikes!

Even if I believed he didn't have his finger on the trigger, which I don't, he had to be pointing it at them. You never do that unless you are ready and willing to pull the trigger. It was up to him to check the weapon. Totally his responsibility.

  11. Never been big on Kelly, don't hate the guy, just not a big fan. I look at it for what it is, a business decision in a big, big business. It doesn't bother me one way or another. I can see how others feel about it, but at the end of the day it simply business for him.

For those who say you can’t blame Kelly for accepting a contract from LSU that is expected to be well north of $10 million per year, that’s bollocks. There is nobody to blame but Kelly for a classless, gutless exit before the kids he recruited to Notre Dame even know whether they’ll have the privilege of playing for a national championship.

By making this move now, Kelly should be a pariah in his profession, never thought of the same way again. He doesn’t care at all about those players, and whatever respect he had earned for his stewardship of the Notre Dame program over the last dozen years has been flushed down the toilet. He should forever be known as little more than a snake and a mercenary.

And yet, the larger story here is about a sport that is speeding toward the edge of an economic cliff while functioning in a manner that fundamentally devalues its core product.

Wow, Dan Wolken held back no punches. Kelly's departure mirrors the stories we have heard in the past on coaches leaving in the dark of the night, so this too will be forgotten like all other coaches that have left in similar fashion... albeit different circumstances with his team in the hunt.

Obviously Brian Kelly can coach. But I found his demeanor and bully behavior downright alarming and it turned me off from being a committed Notre Dame football fan. He just seems like a bad person.

It's a business, people need to remember that. As a ND fan, it doesn't bother me in the least.

I said months ago...if Kelly leaves, Freeman is likely the next head coach at ND.

Players, recruits, other members on staff, and most importantly administration/boosters love him

I think he's the best fit. If he does get the job, as a fan I'm happy.

The Georgia offense put up 3 against Clemson. Michigan's defense is as good or better than the Tigers, especially with all Clemson's injuries.

You think Georgia is the same team now as in the first game of the season? I don't.

In total defense, Georgia is #1, Clemson is #9 and Michigan is #14.

In run defense Georgia is #3, Clemson is #9 and Michigan is #22.

Passing yards allowed is where Michigan is better than Clemson. Georgia is #2, Michigan is #23 and Clemson is #37.
