  1. That was nothing short of incredible by the Lyles kid. Kick rocks, UVa!
  2. There are a lot of intriguing names either just getting out or have already gotten out of public school jobs who may not be totally ready to retire their whistle yet.
  3. I'd rather not at this point, but think HOFers.
  4. There are some interesting names circulating around this job, to say the least.
  5. The Nelson County opening has been filled. Dirk Strunk, who most recently was a head coach in Alabama and has 16 years as an HC, will be the new NCHS coach. He was at the school today meeting with administrators, teachers and students.

  7. Um, yeah. I'll give McCurry the benefit of the doubt because kids don't always follow instructions.
  8. I recall that game well. It was kind of when Trinity arrived as a big-time player in hoops.
  9. I don't know if John can survive not having Pearson. I feel like he finds a way to get one of those rebounds PV kept getting the final minute.
  10. To force the 2nd OT? WFTM guy said he shot 49% on the season coming in. Hits 3 FTs to force a second OT. Wow.
  11. John needs to use these fouls wisely coming out of the TO to burn clock.
  12. Short notice for host teams, since you're usually dealing with disappointed fan bases from big conferences who have largely moved on. There weren't many of the luxury suites being used last night.
  13. Word. I had a feeling they'd curtain off the upper bowl, but I didn't imagine I'd walk in and it be packed in the lower bowl. I was anticipating about 7K tops. As a Louisville fan, I was kind of encouraged about the support as we go into very dark times.
  14. The 5th Region has had middling results at the SW16 in recent times, going 7-8 in first round games over the last 15 trips. They haven't had a team get to the SFs since a great three-year run that saw North Hardin get to the SFs in 2001-02 and E'town win it all in 2000.
  15. Hey, according to this pic I got last night at the Chicken Bucket, Rick is spoken for …
  16. Hopefully some enterprising coaches will take advantage of the strategic opportunity of the 2-for-1 during this tourney. If enough stubborn old coaches get beat in this fashion, maybe they'll finally start improving their clock management skills.
  17. It sure was fun driving back to Bardstown from L'ville — tough visibility and a lot of 35mph stretches.
