I heard several times over from folks around Jefferson County saying that Coach Clark expressed some interest in a few of the JCPS and greater-Louisville jobs that have come open this offseason. Some rumors were going around that Clark was looking to rejoin Coach Wolfe's coaching staff at Male. Then there were other rumors that after Coach Clark confirmed that Christian County Schools had lined up a JCPS head coach to take the Christian County High School head coaching job (the coach later backed out after he realized how much of a soup-sandwich things are down in Christian County Schools), Clark was poised to try to take the JCPS job that would be vacated by the coach who was taking over at Christian County.

JCPS guy lined up for Christian Co was Nino White right? Atherton coach?

We can agree to disagree on this . The senior class and sophomore class has had no problems competing with and beating the Boyle county teams until “the you know who’s in roll “. There’s some good talent in the program now and has some freshman that can be big time players for Lincoln county.

And, I’ll add he did a great job with a Casey Co team that was supposed to be in rebuild mode this season after Stonebraker left.  He is a grinder, and will work at it.

Casey County wasn't in rebuild mode. Stoney had the program at Casey in a great spot when he left. Anyone worth their salt in coaching will tell you that most all public high school football in programs that aren't in large urban areas are as cyclical as it comes. Casey Co is definitely no exception, and Steve took the Adair job while Casey was peak downcycle. Stonebraker took over a program that hadn't had more than 5 wins a season in the previous 5 years, and he turned it around and then had them winning 10 games in each of his first two seasons there. Facts.

Levi has himself a nice situation going down there at Casey Co. If he's wise, he stays there and does NOT go home. Y'all have seen firsthand what going home to Lincoln did to Jaggers. That place is poison for coaching careers. The folks there grind 'em up and spit 'em out.

It's no wonder Lincoln Co calls their field Death Valley. They even have the tombstone at their field. Seems to me like the administration should start engraving the names of all the coaches they unceremoniously run off onto that sucker.

This was Lincoln County's guy. If my info is correct, he was the only one interviewed for this job when it came open a couple of years ago. Asst. Coaches very outspoken about the dismay within the program, lack of work ethic, lack of leadership, lack of cohesion. Fights in the field house during school hours, fall break fiasco.... I really doubt this was a mutual parting of ways.

Lol, you've definitely got yourself some bad information there. He was not the only guy who interviewed. They interviewed Coach Rogers and Coach Cooper both the last time. And that's all over in the old thread if you look at up. And Cooper was still an assistant last time I checked, so color me shocked to hear that someone who was passed over for a job is outspoken and trash-talking the guy who was hired as head coach instead of him.

So we know that some of the info you've obtained is incorrect. I wonder how much of the rest of it is. It definitely makes it qll the easier to see the extent that people are going to around the Lincoln County community to try to push their own agendas with (intentionally?) false information in order to run off coaches.

  5. Was always told Coach Koz had a hard time playing well with others, so to speak. Thus the mass exodus from his coaching staff a couple of times over during his tenure. Never heard boo about Adam Kozerski's personality but I'd assume the job is his to turn down since he's the only one who always stuck around with Big Koz, right? Has Adam been an OC/DC at all while he'd been coaching?

Nothing at all against Adam but it seems like this program could really benefit from someone entirely new to Holy Cross. Breathe a little new life.

And for what it is worth, I know Coach Hines is telling people he is the new Coach at South Laurel but with that said I suppose it could have changed.

I am sure we will all find out soon.

Local media just released a story stating that AD confirms Hines has resigned, no mention of South Laurel.

Word here is that Laurel Co Schools have a requirement for how long a job has to be listed before they can make their official hire and that Hines is the hire but they have to wait on their official announcement until after the job has been posted for long enough.

Something ironic about that speech:  He tells the parents and players that if they don't like the way he does things to go somewhere else and he wishes them the best.  But if any athlete tries to transfer from Pulaski, the administration fights their eligibility every step of the way.

    Nail on the head.

Anybody ever been to a sports banquet where the head coach only spoke for 3 minutes and 6 seconds? I sure as hell haven't. I can't imagine that Coach Hines didn't do more speaking about the team at other points during the banquet.

Agreed that this can't be the only thing said by coach Hines at the banquet. Was told these were his closing remarks at the banquet. But he also evidently managed to go the entire banquet without making one remark to honor Andrew Dodson, his player and the teammate of all the players present who died in Spring practice. Seems like a particularly bad look when he can deliver a 3 minute lecture about how he and his coaching staff deserve everyone's support or else they're being a cancer and should hit the bricks, yet he can't find the time to mention a fallen player.

Saw on FB where the people running middle school program commented on how disgraceful it was that coach Hines didn't honor Andrew Dodson at his banquet, yet they did honor him on the middle school level.

  9. I hope I'm doing this right to get the video to go.

This is getting a lot of talk on FB in the Pulaski Co football community. It's from the Maroons football banquet. Good number of folks feel like this was coach Hines taking the opportunity to pat hisself on the back up at the podium and completely ignore all his players. Alot of people mentioned that he completely disregards mention of the Andrew Dodson, the player who died during spring practice this past April.

Sounds to me like there's got to be a lot of drama going on for a coach to come out like this and directly address all of the players and their parents right to their faces. Not sure if it's the right time and place though. I guess my first thought is to wonder whether or not this 3 minutes was all that coach Hines spoke during the whole banquet. Then also I guess I wonder if this might actually be something that needs to be said, regardless of whether or not the reception to the statement was very friendly.

So what's going on at Pulaski?

Bump......  Well let's go ahead and do it..... Would Josh Jaggers be a possibility here???  It seems every year he was rumored for about 10 openings that came up so let's just go ahead and throw it out there. I know that with the new superintendent eTown and some other central office personnel Josh Jagger's is extremely tight. Will that lead to him being interested in this job? Will that lead to eTown reaching out to him? I have heard through the grapevine there are some issues at Lincoln county at the district level. I will say again this is speculation and hearsay which is what this whole form is about anyway lol

10? Lol that number seems pretty high. His name does get tossed around sometimes, but I can't remember him being mentioned for anything since he went to Lincoln a couple of years back. But that seems like a good problem for him to have, having connections in multiple places around the state and continually being mentioned as a good hire.

Then they had a change of heart, meaning they told him he won't be the head coach at the new consolidated school? Or meaning they told him that they were going to re-open the hiring process when they consolidated and that he'd have to apply like everyone else instead of automatically getting the job?

The second one you said there.

What an odyssey!!  When the important words in your verbiage continue to be words like "interim", "may end up being", "but is technically open" and "looks like" doesn't give me the impression this rollercoaster is stopping for many YEARS to come.

I hate they have to go through this but seems at least half they created.

Christian Co's management of the consolidation process has been an absolute trainwreck. They're currently 2yrs behind schedule and approaching 3 if I'm remembering it right. They promised coach Clark the job at the super school when they brought him on at Hoptown and then they had a change of heart. Word around the water cooler is that he's looking at heading back to Jefferson Co.

Also heard the dude they're looking to hire at Christian is from Jefferson Co and that he's more than likely gonna be the hire for the super school, assuming Clark heads out.

Tilghman is ultra talented! if they can keep their mistakes to a minimum they will be a tough out.  The mistake bug has long been a trademark of Tilghman teams.

So they have a lot of penalties on the regular? I was watching the game last night and was shaking my head how many times they were flagged. At least 5 flags were for movement before the snap, which is a coaching/discipline issue. No more, no less.

On Tilghman's second or third offensive possession they must have gone 30 yards backwards. It would have been more like 45 or 50 yards backwards but the last 3 penalties were only able to back them up half the distance to the goal line.

  14. I finally sat down and watched some film on PT last night and tonight. They definitely have speed at WR, which was why I was honestly kind of surprised to see how many of their passes are swing passes or screens. When I watched last night's game I counted 15 pass receptions by Tilghman. 10 were swing or screen passes, 3 were shallow cross or slant routes and only 2 were deep shots of 15+ yards. There were 3 or 4 more attempts at deep shots where the throw was off the mark plus another couple off-target passes on shallow routes. James is a very solid QB for a junior, but his long balls aren't as on the money as Coach Thompson might hope. If CC has a hard time defending screen passes it could be a long night for them.

Game write up mentions beef up front for Tilghman. That's no joke. PT's o-line has to average at least 300lbs a piece. Surprised they don't mix it up and run more behind those fellas.

    1) So Johnson Central held Breathitt County's offense to 10 yards in their game?? Breathitt had almost 120 yards against Beechwood this past Friday. 10 yards? TEN??

    2) I'm shocked that Johnson Central allowed Dohn Community to have as many yards as they did.

    3) Cov Cath's defensive performance last week wasn't their best. I'm sure Coach Brown and company have been doing plenty to let the team know that and to correct mistakes.

    4) If I'm Coach Eviston, I may well be logging onto Hudl and studying both of the Boyd County games. Boyd County passed above their average in both games against Johnson Central, and they managed to cut down JC's scoring margin by 25 points in the rematch. 👀

    5) If I'm Coach Peck, I'm spending some time reviewing film from the Cov Cath/Highlands game. Highlands is the only team this season that had an above-average rushing game against Cov Cath.

10 yards in a game? I'm gonna go ahead and assume JC didn't pull their starters. Kinda crazy considering the 41 point shutout.
