He is he will around over or through you and you can’t teach 6-3 225 with nimble feet and pretty good speed. A guy on here last week I can’t remember who said all you have to do is stop number 6 but knowing what you have to do and doing it is a completely different story. And the kid is only a jr.

CAL played Glasgow last year and yes 6 can play.  I thought he was a Jr. last year.  Reclassified?

Sometimes knowing what to do and doing it are two completely different things. If Bardstown wins it will be because of their offense I don’t think they will shut Glasgow’s offense down. If Glasgow wins it’s because they held up against the pass. Last year against Cal they basically gave up 3 long pass plays and that was the difference in the game. I truly believe this will be a fairly high scoring game something like 35-28 Scotties.

3 long pass plays and no one was within 15 yards of the receiver each time.   Wing-T did hurt CAL.  Long is a stud.

Not rocket science… #6 was key to GS’s O last year in QF matchup. His 1st 2 carries for -4 yards (by one of best tacklers in the state) set tone for game. Ended 12/24. Wing-T and 14 kept it close.

If 14/27 are out, recipe as last year!! Stop #6… bigger now…

I see Jesse reclassified as a Freshman this year.  He played last year in regional final against CAL.

Scotties and Cardinals meet in low-key matchup of top 10 teams

Records: Glasgow (10-1), Taylor County (9-2)

BGP Ranking: Glasgow (#3 in 3A), Taylor County (#10 in 3A)

Series History: Glasgow leads 4-2 dating back to 1998

Table Setter: Glasgow and Taylor County both won their first round games convincingly to set up this intriguing district title clash in Glasgow. The Scotties have persisted through some injuries to keep a ten game win streak alive. Among those ten straight wins was a 31-20 victory over the Cardinals on October 15th. Glasgow won the turnover battle 3-0, including two that set them up with short fields that they turned into touchdowns.

Taylor County had been flying below the radar this year before sneaking into the regular season's final rankings. Their two losses this year are against teams with a combined record of 20-2. Running back Peyton Smith has carved out an incredible freshman season, leading 3A in rushing with over 1,700 yards.

Glasgow's run to the semifinals last year led them through Taylor County in this round after losing the regular season game. The Cardinals would love nothing more than to flip that script.

    Glasgow went to the semifinals?

  5. CAL parent here. I want to complement the Mercer Co football team. My wife handed out post game food for the Mercer players and staff. She was blown away at how appreciative, respectful, and friendly the players were. Also talked with CAL parents that did the chains last night and they were very complementary of the coaches and players. Great to see a good football team doing it the right way.
