  1. The Peppers nod is a joke. Kind of a muddled field, I guess I'll take Watson?
  2. Seems that timing of the petition deadline needs to be re-considered? I don't blame GC, but it's a shame that these three teams are left to scramble.
  3. They have 5 of the pre-season top 20 in KY on their schedule and will likely face more at KOB and hopefully, post season tournament play. Not to mention Cincinnati Moeller and Dayton (OH) Dunbar, and whomever they play in the St Anthony (New Jersey) tourney. Plenty of tests.
  4. Lex Cath comes calling on Wednesday - is that OK with everyone?
  5. Cov Cath has plenty of challenges on its schedule. If Williamstown wanted to play, so be it. Who cares? Move on.
  6. Not to mention the fact that the TUN will lose Peppers to the NFL. In all seriousness, that was a great, great football game played by two great teams. Harbaugh has a legit beef about the no call PI in the second OT, but, they had chances to put the game away and did not. So did OSU. Harbaugh has certainly added some spice back to this great rivalry. These next several years could be great.
  7. I chuckled when I compared TUN's senior group (43) to OSU's, realizing that OSU's senior class is playing on Sundays.
  8. No problem with Peppers reaction after the game. Didn't care for his spit and wiping of feet on the "O" at the 50 before the game, but it's harmless and was simply meant to bring attention to himself. The Barrett first down was the right call. The toughest call for TUN was the "no-call" on 3rd and 4 in OT - DB was clearly hooking the back arm of the WR. Should have been PI and a 1st down for TUN. But, crying like a whiny female dog after the game is a bad look. Great coach, but not a good look...
  9. Spot on. Without a rim protector, this team will have a tough go in the Big East. Shocked by the ranking.
  10. Hamilton with -8 rushing yards at half. Good job Colonel D on a quality RB.
  11. Are there a lot of Birds fans there supporting Doss?
  12. Final from Georgetown. JV Colonels finish 7-1, with lone loss being a 7-0 contest vs Trinity. CCH finishes the regular season with a combined record of 23-4 at all three levels, with one loss vs NKY competition (Varsity's season opening loss to Ryle). There were certainly a few "coin toss" games in those wins, but finding a way to win is part of the process.
  13. 88 - Hladon, Ruh, Flesch, Granger, Chris Wagner, Brian Williams. Dave Wilson and Barry Jones were sophomore starters
  14. Hicks was 93 QB (94 Grad) Cogswell QB'd the 94 team Dave Wilson was a senior in 90 - he was a WR as a Soph on the 88 team QB'd by Hladon. As a senior in 90, Dave was the NKY POY as RB and safety, and for my money, still the best all around skill player to ever walk the halls at 1600 Dixie Hwy.
