This thread started out so refreshing and uplifting to the extent that people were actually commending officials and then, about half way through, all the negativity comes out. Just human nature, I guess.

The nature of officiating. When done well, nothing stands out and is notable. You just remember the game.

Did Spalding touch the ball a lot in their championship year......back when they were good?

I'm not sure where the crew for the 7th region was from, but I overheard one of them in the bathroom say to another he couldn't believe he had to use the same bathroom as the patrons.

Might have been in jest, but might have been dead serious. Pretty funny either way.

If he was serious, I don't blame him. All it takes is for one nut job to be upset about a call and you get popped upside your head while having a stand up head visit. If the nut job was less violent, he might still shake you while your going and now your all messy.

Not too many grade school type ticky-tack fouls.

Not too many overzealous traveling calls.

Not too many "see I'm doing something, validating my presence on the floor" calls.

The games had great flow, like a college game.

Ballard also did a nice job of not letting Spalding catch it deep. He didn't get it much, and that is stunning really.

Trinity didn't play that bad of defense imo. Ballard hit many contested shots and continued to execute throughout. When T had to come out of the zone B guards were just too good tonight. Anyone watching tonight could have considered the best 4 players on the floor were wearing white.....if true or not

B is bombing away from long range. T needs to challenge those shots and to get Spalding involved.

Spalding passing well so can't double him. Setting em up...throwing lefts in the first to connect with a right in the 2ne

Great half by two teams playing great team ball. Rocks D is solid, but Ballard making plays. Eaves standing out.

It may not be fair cause one game is a small sample, but I watched both Waggener & St. X play a common opponent, Fern Creek. The contrast of the respective results when each team played Fern Creek makes me question the Waggener comment about one and done and then St. X as a possible Region 6 winner. Waggener beat FC by 2 and St. X lost by double digits. Unless those games were flukes, I see a very close game that either team could win when they play in round 1. Granted St. X beat Waggener by 10 about 30 days ago, but I see two teams that either could win that initial game.

Of course Waggener can Beat St X. That is a homer talking.

Trinity. Central game does not mean nothing. Means Central is there one night, off the next two. They can't be consistent long enough to win a Regional. Trinity as much as I hate to say it wins it going away.

This Trinity team does nothing "going away". Trinity has to be the fave, but they aren't out of any of these teams leagues. Sometimes they look real average. Spalding is the difference maker. I think 6 teams could win the 7th. That is leaving out Eastern who basically had Ballard beat 2 nights ago. CRAP SHOOT

The incident came the day after the win over KCD. So he did play that game, but will not be playing again is my understanding. As in other places, word travels pretty fast here in Jefferson County, but I prefer not to be the guy who pours gasoline on the fire at the expense of a kid. If what I heard is true, he will have paid the ample price. It was not a terrible character issue or harming anyone else, just a stupid mistake kids that age make. I know, had 5 kids myself and had a similar situation with a daughter who turned out to be a great young woman and mother later in life.

Are you out of your mind? Parker has never dominated Sutton you are so stuck on that Johnson kid from J-Town you cant see straight. Johnson kid is average at best

How would parker and Sutton be considered a head-to-head matchup? Don't really forsee them assigned to cover each other many times.

Great game....tech for hanging on the rim shouldn't have been called. Impacted the game late drastically. Loose ball foul on henderson at the end also very questionable, but at least that was bang bang and in-action. Both teams real contenders
