  1. I never heard of "d Starnes"? If you were across from Dairy Queen, you were in the right spot! Sept 22-24 is BBQ on the river in Paducah, best weekend of the year!

It's downtown on Broadway near the river. I asked around and found out that d Starnes isn't related, but the bbq is provided to them by Starnes. It was really confusing. I ate at Starnes, with the sea foam green building and lunch counter style seating.

  2. You need to come down to BBQ on the river in Paducah.

I'll tell you something I was confused by though- I couldn't figure out if it was d Starnes or Starnes I was supposed to go to. Ended up going to Starnes, but it wasn't easy.

  3. So correct me if I'm wrong... But basically what I'm see is that the UNC Pro game consisted of the following:

~Former players who are now in the NBA.

~Official UNC jerseys for both teams.

~Former players and coaches honored during the game.

~I don't know if Dean Smith coached one of the teams, but it's possible since he was there and was honored.

GOOD JOB NCAA :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

We don't know yet (and may never know), but it's being speculated that it has to do with Eloy Vargas playing on the Dominican team.

  4. The point he is making that the youth were being politcally indoctrinated. Were they being indocrinated to hate Jews and take over the world, I doubt it? That was not the comparsion. The comparision was political indoctrination.

Young Democrats and Republicans decide as young adults to join, whereas, as I understand it, these were under 18 young people attending the camp.

When comparisions are made between a situation and the Nazis it is about politics, not death camps and world domination.

Were they? Do you know? Or are you just making an assumption? I'm sure if it was a conservative camp they would be hailed as patriots.

Again, this isn't about what went on at that camp. Dozens were murdered and none of them deserved to die, no matter what their political affiliation is. I just hate that Beck felt like he had to go there.

  5. So this is worse then the tools on Bill Maher's show comparing the Republicans in congress to Arafat and then saying they wished they were dead like Arafat? The hateful tripe comes from both sides but IMVHO it only seems to be those from the right that get slammed for it.

Maher is no better than Beck- partisan ideologues who do nothing more than incite furor from the other side. But you have to admit, Beck saying this was in very poor taste at best and at worst it was disrespecting the people of Norway and the victims of the tragedy.
