Ben played? I can't see him getting shutout of the scoring column. Jake played and scored.
Sorry, I didn’t know there were 2 of them.

I noticed Ben Swolsky or Isaiah Garrison haven't played the last few games. Are they done for the year?
Swolsky played last night

Just curious, what would you have done in this situation? Did they press? (This would be poor sportsmanship). Did they take balls inside where big boys could repetitively score easily? (Again concur this would be poor sportsmanship). Did they go into stall ball further embarrassing the dominated opponent? Isn't the running clock designed to shorten the time of domination/embarrassment. Not sure firing 3's, the most easily defended shot, and giving the opponent multiple chances for defensive rebounds, especially the long ones is poor sportsmanship. Unfortunately for SG the Saints were hotter than a firecracker. No criticism here, but I wasn't there and just reading the tea leaves from afar.
I was there. St. Pat kids knew what the record was for 3's and were trying to break that record. Taunting the SG kids with "here comes another" before dropping another 3. Again, the game was well in hand by the time they were going for their record. How do you hold your head up and brag about breaking a record against a team that's won 2 games and had a total of 6 kids on the bench? The coach should have pulled the starters and stopped the nonsense long before this got out of hand.

Poor display of sportsmanship last night by St. Patrick. They kept draining 3 pointers after this game was well in hand. They had 8 or 9 in a row in the 2nd half while up at least 40.
Karma has a way of coming back around in events such as this.

It was a good day. On the other hand, it was a bad day.

Here's what I see going on.
it's not that coaches aren't "helping" kids get athletic scholarships.
it's that coaches are "enabling" situations that hurt a kid's chances of getting eligible. I won't mention names. But you guys know where I'm from. There is a coach down here that produces very good teams with very good players but virtually NONE of them qualify for college. The two school across town continually produces d-1 players. One public, one private.
The coach i'm talking about is rumored to make sure his kids can get in classes where their eligibility is never in question. Yet when it comes time to make it through the ncaa clearinghouse, they don't make it...
Where is "down here"?

Congratulations to young Mr. Shearer. I know your namesake and the rest of the family are extremely proud of you!

Crowd has gotten better. Hope it’s a rowdy one tonight!
Go Cats!

No wonder Cal was hyping the game this week. There is hardly anybody here.

Just popcorn for me thank you....

I wonder if they lost any business after their manager got shot in the face right outside the place.

I have heard he smokes weed.
I also heard that he showed up at a frat party with a guy who had a gun on him who said he was "protecting" Tai and someone told Tai he would get in trouble for that. Maybe he did...
That's all I got...

KHSAA should just remove the transfer rule from the book. I'm sure some have witnessed this but I have never seen a girl miss a whole season for transferring.
PS: Who is Burt richer?
It’s Richey. Burt is the asst coach of HHS and husband of head coach Jamie.

Perhaps, but is it not now protocol to issue a bench warning? Either way it does not matter at the end of the day.
Bench warnings are optional.

Congratulations to Miss Breen!

Wife and I are going to be moving from Cold Spring to Alexandria in August. These guys have a few beers that we like, or continually come out with new ones, I bet they'll have a lot more of my money than I originally thought when I started the thread.
Welcome to A-town! :thumb:

It’s always a good day when UK loses. Especially when UK fans run their mouths before their own game is finished. Karma has a mean bark sometimes.
Yeah I’m still crying about it. Oh wait, Duke lost so it was still a good day.

Where was Garrison tonight? He wasn’t on the bench.

Congratulations to Miss Secrist on scoring her 1,000th point. I believe she is a junior?

Yes it was. UK lost again and just may seal up that #1 seed in the NIT again.
I don’t think it’s that dire but I expect an early exit in March. It’s still a good day though.

Admittedly, I don't know starters from bench players but I'll stand by my comments on dropping 3s during a running clock.
