They have six 8th graders that play alot.

Beechwood was way to much for Ncc.

Talk to any college coach and I guarantee 10 of 10 say that no one has a starting spot until they prove they can play at the college level. Some good high school players cant catch up to the speed of the game the college game presents. Im not saying he wont be the starting shortstop im just saying that its not penciled in already that he is.

The Morse Mustangs 18u scored 6 runs in the 7th inning Sunday to defeat the Lexington 8's in the championship game at Campbellsville College 8-4. If they get good pitching I think this team has a legitimate shot to win the Legion 18u state tournament. They have several of the best hitters in south-central Kentucky and have a good solid pitching staff. They recently finished 3rd in the prestigous 36 team Firecracker Classic at Myrtle Beach which had a strong field from all over the southeastern United States. Both Morse Mustang 18u teams will be competing in the Tennessee Tech Invitaional this weekend and then the Legion tournament will start. Good luck to the Mustangs in the tournament !!

I have heard that the Mustangs teams will play each other Sunday at Tennessee Tech University. This will be a rubber match as they have split two games.

Like I said, I was right there... I don't know how close you were to the field, but like I said I was literally right there... You can trust me that the batter said nothing of the sort that u seem to think he said. So reguarding your post as to what the umpire should do about it is absolutely nothing because there was nothing to do anything about in this instance.

Josh is Beechwood best pitcher,but he was not the only one on the field playing his heart out. Both catchers worked just as hard, if not harder than anyone on the field wearing that hot gear,all I am saying I do not think it was right to rest a whole season on one kid. They did not win 30 games because of one kid and they surely did not lose to NCC because of one kid it take a whole team to win and lose. Great job by NCC coaches for having faith in the kids on the bench.

Bertke did a great job but he was done, there are other pitchers who could of came in. Cain went to his coach after the inning and told him he was done. I don't think you win or lose with one player it just not fair to the other players.
