  1. This situation may be regarding Oregon, but what about Auburn.

Cam Newton's father was brokering a deal involving in the neighborhood of $175,000 for his son to go to Mississippi State. He didn't go to State, but he chose Auburn.

    What did Auburn pay?

Apparently his father wasn't supposed to be at the BCS championship game, but wasn't Cam hugging his father at the end of the game? With all the talk about money/father, i see the one and done at AU - NFL =Violations???

  2. Thats is an awesome statement on what they got in this kid. If he keeps his nose clean, in the books and stays healthy - this kid could end up like Shaun Alexander did at Bama.

He stood out in Texas at the Army All-American game and served as a Captain if I recall correctly.

Best of luck to this young man and his future.

  3. I believe he will eventually be moved to the DL, he is slower than some others signed and heavier. I saw him some in a few games andhe wasnt very good on the offensive side of the ball to be a good as he was supposed to be advertised as an overall player, couldnt catch very good and was lazy at times. When he wanted to be good he was, but you better bring your A game for every practice at USC.

I've said since he was being recruited, he will eventually end up with his hand on the ground. It is a great thing to have a kid like that from a small town go to a big time school.

  4. LCA has been hanging under the radar all year. All the talk has been of Hazard, Mayfield, Holy Cross, and Beechwood. They have gone about their business and improved each week on offense and the defense has played well most of the year.

Raceland somehow spun the first meeting into thinking they were as good or better than LCA, that wasn't the case. Farley is a good qb and a gunslinger. He may throw TD's and he may throw interceptions, that is normal. So the turnovers were no surprise in the first game or the second game. Also, LCA had 14 penalties in the first game and Raceland had zero. Even though the Raceland fans talked of the points LCA got off turnovers in the first game they failed to mention the fact that LCA's one turnover came on the Raceland 1 yard line or that LCA failed to convert two 4th downs inside the Raceland 15. They also spoke of LCA getting great field position but they didn't talk about the one onside they got and converted into a TD. To me the first game was looked at with Ram colored glasses.

I love how the Raceland fans support their boys, but spinning things into something they are not sets the boys up for panic when things don't go right in the opening of the game.

When it is all said and done it was the same game just a different day. LCA moves on to regional championship.

  5. WOW ! If that happens then Berea football becomes relevant very quickly. I will believe it when I see it. Not sure that Berea can get Stepp to come back. They don't seem to care about sports down in the South end of Madison County.

    That will be interesting.

  6. His 2 throws were horrible. He just can't do it against the better teams.

Maybe it’s the scheme, maybe its the coaching???? You can't put everything on 1 kid . It takes a team to compete and when a team has more talent, it’s hard to do well with mediocre talent.

  7. Its safe to say Graham cares nothing about Henry County.

Ray is a man that cares for everyone like a Christian Man should. It’s a shame that the Henry Co. people want to criticize a man that bettered himself inside a Christian setting. I understand that timing was a horrible issue for the HC team, but it was what GOD has in store for Ray. I say let the horse be buried and go your separate ways and quit complaining about what if, and no one cares, etc... This is week 5 of the season and let what happened go and more forward.

  8. Dunbar is red and black too....:D

It was all GRC from the start of the game. I was suprised to see that Dunbar didn't dress that many players...

Dunbar don't have a lot of numbers because Lawson came in and laid the law down. He weeded out the guys that want to hold up a jersey on Friday and not work to try to build a program. Dunbar must be improved from the previous 2 seasons, but still have a long way to go to be a competitive 6A football program.
