  1. It appears every team is guaranteed 3 games. Your team would have to make it to the winner's bracket semifinals to get a fourth game.
  2. You would have to purchase the book for the explanation. Where there was consolidation/closing of schools, Jeff has documented as such. My best guess is that the schools with multiple names were schools who took over the school records from the former names. As he states at the beginning of the large section of the book with year-by-year win/loss records, "The lack of consistent recordkeeping and availability of archive material makes it difficult to state with certainty when the first prep basketball in the Commonwealth was played, it is clear that by the mid-'20s the sport was thriving." He continues that the data in the book was compiled using a combination of school records (I believe he sent out questionnaires to every school), newspaper accounts, school yearbooks, and other research. I know the information in Jeff's book is not be 100% accurate (he says so much himself), but until it is all corrected through further research, this is what I will be going by. As was said in a previous post, KHSAA has Paducah Tilghman at 1,960 wins. I find it hard to believe that the gap between extensive research and the KHSAA would be 52 wins, maybe a couple here or there, but not 52. I would also like to say that the "official" KHSAA information is/was only as good as what is provided by the school, thus the tremendous gap between the number of wins from say schools 1-10 where schools in Jeff's book aren't even represented in the KHSAA information.
  3. I guess I could look it up, but has that ever occurred in this league?
  4. Point taken, but it's actually 8 days as there were two Tuesdays in that stretch. Four wins in the last 5 days though. Tates Creek comes to Fort Mitchell on Saturday and then we go to the Traditional Bank Classic and face Paintsville in the 1st round on Friday, the 27th.
  5. Leading scorers for Dixie were Snelling with 14 and Summe with 10.

  7. Beechwood is 6-2. Draud 36 Downton 17 More tomorrow morning.
  8. Williamstown achieved their 1,000th win in school history against St. Patrick on 12/7/19. Congratulations!!
  9. I'm still working on the research between the Kentucky High School Basketball Encyclopedia and the results from the last two years on the Riherds Scoreboard, but Ashland achieved 2,000 before Hazard. Ashland was at 2,005 before this season started. Manchester/Clay County got to 2,000 before anyone as the Tigers had 2,140 victories coming into this season. For those interested, 206 of those 2,140 were from when they were Manchester High School.
  10. Hazard achieved their 2,000th win in school history against Floyd Central on 12/6/19. Congratulations!!
  11. Franklin County achieved their 1,000th win in school history against Frankfort Christian on 12/10/19. Congratulations!!
  12. Deming/Robertson County achieved their 1,000th win in school history against Augusta on 12/3/19. Congratulations!!
  13. I apologize for overlooking these schools for their victory milestones. I will update as I can.
  14. Made it to the championship in two leagues. Both leagues I am facing Lamar Jackson, but in one of those leagues, I'm facing not only Jackson, but Zeke and Aaron Jones as well, geesh!!
  15. Congrats @Godot*, I know it's not the asterisk you want, but it's there just the same.
  16. Thanks @The Scribe, I will do my best to represent the National in the Bluegrass Bowl.
  17. The Browns now have a 2% chance of making the playoffs, but only if they win out. Winning against the Ravens again doesn't seem plausible, but even more unlikely is the Steelers and Titans both losing out.
  18. Bluegrass Bowl in the BGP league next week. In my big money league (semifinals), I am down 3 points to the same team I lost to last week (see above) and he has Mack and Thomas and I have Brees, projected to lose by 7.
  19. If you mean at one school, yes; however, Coach Goetz is in his 15th season in the 9th region, just at two different schools.
  20. This may be the case in the KHSAA record book, but according to the Kentucky High School Boys' Basketball Encyclopedia, Manchester/Clay County, Hazard and Ashland have already eclipsed the 2,000 win plateau. According to the book and my research, Ashland was at 2,004 victories coming into this season. My research continues...
  21. In my big money league, we have 8 teams, only 4 make the playoffs so playoffs start in Week 15. My team was 10-3 going into this week, clinched my division, clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs, but Week 14 was a disaster. Each team effectively starts 2 QBs, 3 RBs, 4 WRs, and 2 TEs, no kickers, no defense/special teams. I left Ekeler, Brees, and E. Sanders on the bench (92.4 points). I am losing by 37.9 going into MNF and I have Wentz. I'm pretty sure I'm going to lose. The only consolation is that by losing, the 2x defending champion will be left out of the playoffs, so there's that.
  22. Odds are Giants defense will not get more than 9 points since that is what they average this year. You just have to hope Goedert doesn't score more than 10.
