  1. I wrote that in a joking manner, but its probably not a subject to take lightly. Sorry
  2. If T & X are for example the 1 & 2 big schools in terms of enrollment then how is the descrepency to the 37th team in number of boys. What about the difference in the number of boys in the small or A classification from the largest to smallest. I don't know these answers but I don't think it can be as simple as that but I may be wrong.
  3. It's not the point or the issue of the thread but you quoted me and raised the issue. To the original point, IMO winless teams or teams with losing records shouldn't make the playoffs. My two years of starting in HS we won 2 games total(yes we were awful), we did not deserve or have any business in the playoffs.
  4. You cant just adjust classes evenly by number of teams if you base the classifications on enrollment.
  5. Probably not but just about every other sport can be played on back to back days or with a day of rest in between games. The same is not true with football. So how would you manage a playoff system with all the extra teams?
  6. Two State Champs from Louiyville:D and two from NKY I would say pretty excellent football is played in both places. Whats Lexington's excuse:D?
  7. We all know that insurance companies will be overally cautious in thier decision and IMO the cannon has no chance of being fired again. Even if they okay'd it, if it was my decision I would choose to shelf it after a serious injury. By the way the cannon fires blanks or there would be holes all over Ft. Thomas, I would suggest researching something that could possibly replicate the sound without the explosives or improving the PA system and have video and audio to show of the cannon going off on the big screen when they score. Not the same but no one gets hurt.
  8. Continue with the development of players in the CCYFL, get the community even more involved in the program and I would like to see HHS back on the schedule! As for getting to the state next year I might have to agree with cover corner.
  9. Play, win lose or draw I can't see it being much fun on the sidelines.
  10. 4 + 1 is the only solution IMO again that is if you see it as a problem, but there is a public vs private section already where this has been debated ad nauseum.
  11. Maybe NKU could get off thier butt's and start a football team and the state finals could alternate every couple years or so. NKU, EKU, UL, WKU, etc, just a thought, but I am sure BG will be a fine host.
  12. No but I listened to it, they lost by 3 scores and I never heard anything that made the game seem overly in doubt or that HHS was being given all they wanted.
  13. 1. T 2. HHS 3. X 4. Central 5. Bell Co. 6. Boyle Co 7. Ft. Campbell 8. Beechies 9. Christian Co. 10. NCC
  14. Yes, they will win three in a row. They have enough talent coming back and they are constantly improving and molding their underclassmen. Of all the teams I played against in HS, no teams players made a bigger leap in physical development from thier sophmore to junior years than HHS players. This hasn't and probably will never change.
  15. 2000 boys from the entire Louisville area or 200-300 boys from Ft. Thomas yeah they should be eager to jump up. Whats amazing is that HHS beat you in this decade. Sometimes T fans go a little
  16. Losing a statee championship by three touchdowns is giving someone all they wanted:confused:
  17. Guys there is really no need to fight about it. After a second person is injured and quite severly who would even want to be on the crew. I know it is a wonderful tradition and quite intimidating for visting teams but it is over. Find a new tradition and enjoy your program as being one of the best in the state.
  18. I will be praying for a full and speedy recovery for Mr. Roller. I do think at this point it would require a miracle for the cannon to ever be fired at Highlands again.
  19. I'm sure its not from lack of trying, so where is the difference>
  20. Before the games got started today I just wanted to give a big congratulations to all of these teams. There has been alot of trash talk about who is better, who works harder and scoring predictions on here this week. I think we can all agree that no matter who wins the next couple of games that all these young men have busted thier tails all year to make it this far. All should leave the field at Papa John's this weekend and be extremely proud of thier accomplishments. Congratulations and good luck to everyone out there. Lets have some good, hard hitting and injury free games.:ylsuper:
  21. It would have been fine had he came to Trinity and won Mr. Football as an Indiana resident?? Here's hoping this is just rivalry smack talk and not hypocrisy>
