I am sorry, I'm new to the site and haven't had time to skim through a lot of threads. I will not be at your scrimmage due to a scheduling conflict- grid vs Morgan Co. ha ha. To be honest with you, I am so excited and worried at the same time about next week. If there is no more direct contact, good luck to the Tomcats and lets pray for no serious injuries to either team.

Anyone in NE KY care to share their info on the 2008 Tomcats? I know that a lot of lineman and some skill positions have returned, but losing Matt Thomas and some others can take its toll. With all the tradition and talent in the system, I can't imagine Tomcat Nation to say that all we have is a lot of players back from a 2-8 campaign, so we should expect more of the same. If that were true, I believe there would be a major shake up in the coaching staff. So, if anyone would like to step to the plate and give their opinion, I'd love to hear it.

The field is painted and everything seems to smell a lot like football at Ram Stadium. What is the pulse around town? Everyone as excited as me?

To my knowledge, a lot of skill players back. They run a wide open attack and Coach Lucas and the rest of the coaches are pretty good at getting all they can from their players. Remember, just a couple of years ago, they had 2 or 3 deep runs in the playoffs before they ran into Mason Co.

Lloyd won 4tds to 1td. Lloyd has a great coaching staff and will get the most out of their guys. Don't be disheartened with this loss. Good luck this season.

Ironton has the same players they had last year. They went 0-5 and then won 5 in a row. The difference is hard work and determination. Their players work hard in the off season and the coaches expect it or they don't play. I know this to be fact because I am friends with some of the coaches and played for one of them while he was at GC. It's scary to think how good Coach Lutz is and what he expects from his coaches and players.

I think this will be a good indication of how Raceland will play this year.....will they play with dominance or will they play to the level of their competition. If they play at the high level that they are capable, then great things can happen. They are loaded with talent and experience.
