2019/20 14th Region Tournament at Knott County Central High School.

2020 14th Region Tournament is upon us. Hazard comes in as the region favorites but they've got a long ways to go in order to cut down the nets. This year's regional tournament is the same as 2019 except for Powell and Owsley. Everything else is the same. Buckle up for a wild ride in the 14th region tournament.

March 4th: 6:30 PM - Wolfe County Wolves vs. Perry County Central Commodores.

Wolfe County Wolves: The Wolves started the season strong but have gone 3-3 in they're last 6 games. The Wolves met the Commodores earlier in the season at Perry County Central and came up short in a 69-68 overtime loss. The Wolves haven't had a region tournament win since 2014.

Perry County Central Commodores: The Commodores are 4-4 in they're last 8 games. This season is an odd one for the Commodores as they have a losing record, something they haven't seen in a very long time. They are usually one of the top region contenders every year.

March 4th: 8:15 PM - Estill County Engineers vs. Knott County Central Patriots.

Estill County Engineers: The Engineers fell to the Patriots earlier in the season 45-38 on the same court. As of late, the Engineers have been on a tear winning 2 in a row and 6 of they're last 7 games. The last game of the season they gave Hazard all they wanted in a 41-40 loss.

Knott County Central Patriots: Knott County Central started the season off great but have taken a wrong turn. They've now lost 5 in a row and 6 of they're last 7. If that's not enough bad news, they lost they're best big man and one of they're top scorers in big man Josh McGuire to a broken collarbone.

March 5th: 6:30 PM - Hazard Bulldogs vs. Breathitt County Bulldogs.

Hazard Bulldogs: The preseason favorite have showed why they are the favorite as they have gone 16-1 against 14th region teams. The Bulldogs are the hottest team coming into the tournament having won 4 in a row and 9 of they're last 10 games.

Breathitt County Bobcats: Breathitt County has came and gone throughout this season. They've had stretches where they looked like a team on a mission and they've had stretches where they couldn't buy a win and would leave Coach John Noble scratching his head. Breathitt County fell to Hazard 68-64 earlier in the season.

March 5th: 8:15 PM - Letcher County Central Cougars vs. Owsley County Owls.

Letcher County Central: Had just 3 wins entering 2020 and just 1 win in the month of January. As of late the Cougars have been on a tear winning 3 straight including an upset win over Knott County Central for the 53rd district title.

Owsley County Owls: The Owls have had a remarkable year, knocking off defending 56th district champions, Powell County twice. Once during the regular season and in the first round of the 56th district tournament. However, the Owls are just 2-7 in they're final 9 games.
