silo11
I was wondering who the top 8th graders to watch in the post season are. I know Lyon County in region 2 has Travis Perry who is averaging almost 28 ppg. He put up 26 against Madisonville. He is an excellent player for his age. silo11
I am referring to 8th graders playing Varsity.
ACfan4
Not sure on a lot of the 8th graders but Adair County has a 7th Grader who's started varsity almost all season in Connor Loy. He's averaged 8.6 PPG for the Indians and made 49 threes on 36% shooting.
LethalPG
Tavey Quisenberry has started PG for Garrard County all season long. He's averaging 7 PPG and 4 Assts. He's been a good Floor General for the Lions, and has a bright future.
maysvilleky
Bracken Co has 1000 pt scorer Blake Reed. More than a 1000 before he’s even in HS.
DukeDog
Bracken Co has 1000 pt scorer Blake Reed. More than a 1000 before he’s even in HS. Oh my lord...
silo11
Bracken Co has 1000 pt scorer Blake Reed. More than a 1000 before he’s even in HS. Travis Perry, referenced above, has 1388 pts before the postseason. Should be at least 3 more games this season. I really would like to see Reed play. Unbelievable these two have 1,000 before becoming freshman. Can anyone else in the state say that?
BigRob
Just asking about these 8th graders, I’ve seen some “older” 8th graders throughout the state, are they older than the 14 yr olds typically in 8th grade?
15th Region
Luke Hale - Martin County Grayson Whitaker - Magoffin County Two best 8th graders in 15th region! Both contribute on varsity level.

Not sure about Reed, but Perry is 14, which means he would be 18 when a senior.
BigRob
Not sure about Reed, but Perry is 14, which means he would be 18 when a senior. That’s impressive! Heck of a player. Edited February 25, 2020 by theguru Rule

DreamKiller
In my opinion, if Travis Perry stays healthy, he could go after King Kelly's scoring record. He's a cold blooded shooter.

He had 750 points this season, if he does that each of his final 4 years, he will have it. That is a lot of points every year though.
