North Oldham vs. Waggener predictions / updates

North Oldham (16-3) plays host to the Waggener Lady Wildcats (5-20) on Thursday night, 2/20/20.

North Oldham wraps up its regular season with this game, and a win would put North very close to equalling - or exceeding - the school record for wins in a season.

North won 18 games last year, the current record. A win would give the Lady Mustangs 17 wins this season....if NOHS were to win the 29th district tournament next week, that would give this year's squad the new record with 19 wins.

A victory over Waggener, a win of the district title, and one victory in the girls' 8th region would give North its first-ever 20 win season and its first-ever district title.

But ...first North Oldham has to beat Waggener.

Sophomore Riley Neal had a monster game for North in their last outing, an 80-75 OT win over defending 8th region champ Collins. Neal scored 45 points in that game and grabbed 12 rebounds. Neal - who is already #5 on the school's all-time scoring list and who is likely to grab the school record for career scoring lat next season - had her best scoring night of the season.

Waggener has not posted any stats this year. The Lady Wildcats are in a rebuilding mode and North will be favored to come away with the win.
