The Lightning won their sixth straight game and finished December unbeaten in regulation (13-0-1). Nikita Kucherov opened the game scoring at 6:06 of the first period, he has 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) in his 11-game point streak. Erik Cernak and Brayden Point each picked up an assist on Kucherov’s goal.

Nick Ritchie scored the only goal for Anaheim and picked up a point to improve to 19-15-7 (45 points).

Brayden Point scored 35 seconds into overtime, taking a lead pass from Kucherov and finished a backhand shot to secure the victory. Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman picked up assists on Point’s goal.

Andrei Vasilevskiy got his 100th win stopping 35 of 36 shots.

The 3rd period was amazing. 24 shots on goal by both teams in that period. Both goalies were making amazing saves.
