Opening Day for Ryle. Ryle scored 3 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th for the win. Ryle had two out and no one on base before scoring 3 in the bottom of the 7th.

 

Junior Leiff Clarkson had two hits while driving in 2 runs in the 6th and another one in the 7th for Ryle. Senior Caleb Lonkard had 2 hits, 2 stolen bases, and scored 3 times including the game ending run. Lonkard scored from second on the game ending play. The final at bat was Clarkson's single up the middle with the bases full that was fielded behind the base and thrown to 2nd but not in time to force Junior Daniel Etscheid. Lonkard kept running and scored the game winner.

 

Senior Matt isler pitched the first 3 inninngs. Senior Jake Steinle pitched the next 2. Junior Bryan Comora pitched the final 2 innings earning the win.

 

NCC's starting pitcher (# 12) pitched well. He was lifted after walking the first two batters in the 5th inning. Their 2nd pitcher (# 21) looked good also but struggled some with control.

Not the prettiest win for Ryle - six errors in the field gave away a lot of free runs to NCC - but a win is a win, especially in 40 degree temps. Ryle came out in a new set of white uniforms that looked sharp. Kyle Jefferds had his first varsity hit (double) for Ryle.
