PurplePride92
After his play in the Sweet 16 he deserved the award. I am glad he won it.
Clyde
I guess this answers the question about whether the voting takes class prior to the tourney. Congrats to Mr Hickey.
Blockbuster
Congrats to Hickey, but the Mr. Basketball award no longer goes to the best player, but to the player that has the best state tournament.

strongopenyon
Anthony Hickey deserved Mr. Basketball, in my opinion. I did not see a better player in the sense of what he provided to help his team win during the entire season. It obviously worked for Christian County. Congratulations! Clyde
Demling says Hickey has a growing list of schools: WKU, Nebraska, West Virginia, LSU, South Carolina, Cincinnati, Purdue, TCU, and St Bonnie. His coach said Butler called this week.
Jim Schue
I guess this answers the question about whether the voting takes class prior to the tourney. Congrats to Mr Hickey. It changed to post-tourney a couple or three years ago.
westsider
Hickey should have been a serious candidate for the award, anyway, but the Sweet 16 performance put him over the hump.
PurplePride92
Hickey should have been a serious candidate for the award, anyway, but the Sweet 16 performance put him over the hump. I agree. I don't see how he could be denied after that performance. What he did is what I would think we all want to see the best player in the state do. Put the team on his back and win the Sweet 16. PurplePride92
Congrats to Hickey, but the Mr. Basketball award no longer goes to the best player, but to the player that has the best state tournament. I thought Behanan was a shoe in until the Sweet 16. What Hickey did that week was likely one of the best weeks in the history of the Sweet 16. He deserved it.
