PurpleHaze
The Purples actually trailed 6-0 after the Dragons scored on a Tabarus Mitchell 5 yd run capping off an opening drive that lasted just over five minutes. BGHS came back on a 2 yd run by Tevin Barksdale with 5:10 left in the first qtr, and Max Oldham put the Purples in the lead for good with the PAT, BGHS 7, Central 6. That was the score at the end of the first quarter. In the second qtr, Barksdale scored again, this time from 30 yards out with 8:03 left in the second qtr. Oldham kicked the PAT and BGHS led 14-6. Sophomore Levance Anderson scored on a nine yd run with 2:44 left before halftime. Oldham kicked the PAT, and the Purples led 21-6. With 1:14 to go before the half, Trent Steelman hit D.L. Moore from 15 yds out, and the Purples took a 28-6 lead into halftime. In the third qtr, Steelman scored on a one yd run. Oldham kicked the PAT with 7:29 left in the third qtr, and BGHS held a commanding 35-6 lead. With four minutes left in the third qtr, Anderson scored again, this time on a five yd run. Oldham's kick was good again, and BGHS was up 42-6. Then, with 2:06 left in the third, Moore caught his second TD pass, this time from 25 yds out. Oldham's kick was good again and the Purples led 49-6. In the fourth qtr, Dillon Carver scored on a two yd run. Zack Williams failed on the PAT, and the Purples led 55-6 with 10:45 left on a running clock. Then Jauhnte Whiteside capped the night's scoring with a three yd run. Williams' kick was good this time and, mercifully, that was all of BGHS's scoring on the night with 7:17 left on the clock. Central got a great runback on the ensuing kickoff, and BGHS had to mount a late goal-line stand by the reserves to keep the Dragons from scoring. gchs_uk9
Yikes. Should I go ahead and prepare myself for watching the Purples at Papa John's one more time? They sure do look impressive so far.

CentreRocks
Great win Purples! What was WC's record coming into the game?
PurpleHaze
Actually, the Dragons came into the game at 1-3, but it is a deceptive record against a really tough schedule this year. Truth be known, I thought that this game would be much tighter than this. They started out impressively enough, but their punting let them down big time, and the Purples consistently played on a short field all night but twice after that. PurpleHaze
The Dragons were beaten by Christian County by only two points last week.

Son of Bear
I thought Warren Central was the cream of the crop in WKY 6A? Someone out west care to elaborate?
DragonFire
Largest margin of victory in the series. Highest score by either team in the series. Really just about all that needs to be said. I expected Central to get beaten, and to get beaten handily. But not 56 points. Terribly disappointing.
PurplePride92
As long as I have been alive, the descendants of Bowling Green High School own Warren Central, and that's just how it is.:flame:

westsider
I thought Warren Central was the cream of the crop in WKY 6A? Someone out west care to elaborate? The Dragons are in 5A, actually, and have lost a lot of talent in back-to-back senior classes. I expected a loss to Bowling Green, but nothing like that. PurpleHaze
Junior K Max Oldham hit seven more PATs without a miss. Including the five he made last season in five attempts, he has been successful on his first 35 PATs! With all of the excellent kickers we've had over the years, nobody has done that for BGHS! He's still got to work on his FGs though...he's 0 for 2 there. Senior QB Trent Steelman not only holds all of the career passing marks at BGHS, but he also has five 200-yd passing efforts in his career to date. No other QB at BGHS has more than one! moral victory
purple haze- after seeing BG first hand last week, it is my opinion that the Purples are better than last year. What are your thoughts?
