Not so hot. The first 3 Boston goals tonight were soft, especially the first one.

The Canucks are probably lucky that the Stanley Cup Finals are are not set up like the NBA finals so that Game 5 is back in Vancouver. A travel day and a home crowd might get Luongo and the Canucks' offense back on their game. After two great and very close games in Vancouver, this thing has gotten out of hand quickly.

A few things that stand out to me about this series:

    1) Things are totally out of control. I lay a lot of blame at the feet of the NHL for not taking action on Burrows, which led to a very deep resentment by Boston that was only made worse when Burrows was the hero of Game 2 (in addition to the taunting) and exploded when Rome knocked Horton out of the series. From that point forward, the players on both sides have been totally out of control and the blowouts exacerbated that greatly because both teams knew the game was in hand, so why not mix it up?

    2) Has there ever been a greater contrast in games based on the site? The Vancouver games were super tight affairs with a game winning goal (and only goal of the game) with 19 seconds left in Game 1 and a game winner 11 seconds into OT in Game 2. 6 total goals were scored in Vancouver and 13 have been scored in Boston. If the series were decided by aggregate scoring, Boston would be up 14-5.

    3) What the heck happened to Luongo? That guy was a freaking wall in the first two games, and then suddenly he can't stop much at all. I really think they made an error leaving him out there the entire time in Game 3, both from a courtesy and confidence standpoint. I don't think you do that to a goaltender, leaving him out there to take punishment in a lost game. I remember the incident in Montreal where Patrick Roy was left out to take a beating. He came off the ice and told them he'd played his last game in Montreal (Colorado's gain).

Again, the contrast between the sites is incredible. Another game in Vancouver decided by 1 goal, another 1-0 Vancouver victory. The aggregate scoring is now Boston 14 Vancouver 6, but it's all about the individual games, so Vancouver leads 3 games to 2.

I agree Dragon Fire. Three total goals in Vancouver all by the home team. Boston totally abused the Canucks in Beantown. I don't watch any regular season NHL games but the playoffs are great.

Here we go again as Boston has already put up 2 goals in the first 10 minutes. This series seems destined for 7 games, and seems destined to have every game won by the home team.

My fault, did I say 2 goals? Guess I meant 3. They chased Luongo already, 9 minutes into the game.

Oh, excuse me, 4 GOALS. Can't keep up with Boston's output.

Who's old enough to remember the 1960 Pirates-Yankees World Series?

Yankees 55 runs, Pirates 27 runs.
    Pirates 4 games, Yankees 3.

Too bad this game's a dud, because hockey looks great on HD. Just wish the rest of the games wouldn't have been on a channel I don't get.

^ I was pleased they had more NBC games this year. IIRC, last yaer they had the majority on VS during the finals. Only two were on VS this year.

Guess my times haven't matched up. I only recall one other one other game before tonight being on NBC. I didn't pay much attention to last year's, but it seems like most of the Detroit-Pittsburgh series was on NBC.

Should we assume Luongo probably isnt going to talk as much after tonight's game?
