Two game sevens tonight on Versus: Sabres and Flyers in Philadelphia; Blackhawks and Canucks in Vancouver. I like the Flyers and Canucks to ultimately get it together and win series that each should win.

I do believe Tampa has the Pens on their heels. With Pittsburgh stars not playing, not sure they have the confidence to finish off the Bolts. The only thing in their favor is they're at home for game 7...

Holy cow. Did anyone else stay up late for that amazing game in Vancouver? A shorthanded equalizer with a minute left that ultimately forced overtime? More like this, please.

I fell asleep during the third intermission and so I missed overtime, but that was three incredible periods of energetic, well-played hockey. I'm sorry to see Crawford have to exit the playoffs after having a career night in goal for Chicago.

Pittsburgh falls 1-0 to Tampa Bay in an incredible goaltender dual. I've always had a soft spot for Pittsburgh as I loved Lemieux, but cool to see Yzerman get the series win as GM. He's the only Detroit player I ever liked.

That triple save on a Penguin breakout in Game 6 turned the series and has put Roloson on a role. He was amazing on that last penalty kill, when Pittsburgh pulled Fleury making it 6 on 4. Great penalty killing all around tonight.

    Go Bolts!

    Conference Semifinals now set:

    East
    Capitals vs. Lightning
    Flyers vs. Bruins

    West
    Canucks vs. Predators
    Sharks vs. Red Wings

There is something dreadfully uninteresting about the Western playoffs... I think it's the presence of Nashville. I'm far more interested in the Eastern playoffs at this point, especially the Flyers/Bruins series. That one should be fantastic.

I'm a big fan of Martin St. Louis and wouldn't mind seeing him in a conference final again. I'm hoping for Flyers/Lightning and Canucks/Red Wings.

I think Nashville has a chance in this series. Suter and Weber are capable of shutting down any line in the NHL. If Rinne can get back on track after being what I saw as a bit shaky in the series with the ducks, Nashville could easily steal this series. The teams split the season series 2-2

Flyers/Lightning gives me flashbacks to 2004. Chills is a better description. Yeah, I'd like that. I just don't think the Lightning defensemen have enough playoff experience yet, and they have had trouble with the Caps. TB may be a year off, yet.

I doubt it will happen, but the Wings and the Bolts in the finals would be amazing. Steve Yzerman running the show has made the Lightning what they have become. Hiring Guy Boucher was genius. They've turned this franchise around in one season, too, mind you. Stevie Y taking his team up against the boys from Hockeytown, where he learned all he knows?
