If Fedor were to fight at the end of this month, or next month, it would be perfect timing.
Wonder who Fedor will fight...what is a tuner for him...Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski...

That would be a terrible fight for Sylvia. We already saw what happens when a good ground and pound guy gets a hold of him (Couture). If Fedor got him...it'd be a massacre.

Arlovski would probably struggle against Fedor's takedowns as well.

Arlovski is a logical choice.....especially since Sylvia and Vera are already fighting on the Oct. card. I'd pay to see Fedor vs. Arlovski. Although, if it were to be at UFC 77, I've already paid for it.

Unfortunately, that's probably the truth. I don't care though. I'll just be stupid if they make the announcement on Saturday. (coffee still hasn't worn off)

I wonder what they'd call a PPV with Couture as the UFC HW Champ against Fedor as the PRIDE HW Champ...Legend vs. Legend...

    I really hope Fedor signs.
I'm sorry but I just can't see Couture winning that fight, as much as I'd love to I just can't.

Haven't you learned never to doubt Randy Couture?

I'm sorry, but I don't recall ever stating anywhere that I thought he would either...

But, he'd have as good a chance as anyone to beat Fedor, IMO. I just want to see them fight.

In post #7 MsKitty (by the way, I just made the connection to Gunsmoke...I'm a bit slow sometimes )...anyway, Kitty said

Speculation is that Dana is trying to downplay it, so info does not get leaked. He denied the Pride thing for quite some time. We shall see on Saturday.

I read a report that Couture may headline a Super Bowl weekend PPV, and Fedor is a possible opponent if they sign him...

    Couture, Fedor

That goes along pretty well with the scenario we've come up with...sign Fedor now, give him a tuner pretty quick and set up a Couture vs. Fedor unification bout early next year.

Also, here's some news on a potential Wandy vs. Chuck fight in December...sounds like it could be pending the outcome of the Jardine fight and how healthy Liddell is afterward.

    Liddell vs. Silva

I'd love to see those two go at it, even if they aren't champs anymore.

It almost sounds like my dream scenario is working out perfectly. Now, all I need is for them to announce that Fedor is fighting at 77. I'm thinking the remaining tix might sell pretty quickly.

So sad if none of this is true.

I dont think they want another CroCop...they want to build him a little before a BIG fight.
