By the way, back in May Marty Brennaman said there was no way the Reds would pick up Dunn's option and I said he was crazy. Someone said that they'd take Marty's word over mine -- hmm?

Marty lets his hatred (anyone figure out why?) for Dunn cloud his judgments and his broadcast. What a shame.

    "hatchet-weilding broadcasters"

    Nice.

You are correct about Marty. He's always trying to get digs in at Thom by calling Dunn "your boy." Marty can't stand the fact that #44 is on the team and cannot hide it.

Tell Marty that Dunner has K'd 22 less times than the beloved Ryan Howard in less plate appearances.

Wow. I guess I am agreeing with you again. You simply cannot let personal judgement enter into your professional environment. I've only heard snippets of Marty's comments, and just wonder if he as disparaging when it comes to other players mistakes and inefficiency? If not then he is professionally inadequate himself.

To be fair, Marty will be critical of anyone. No question about that.

However, you hear it in his voice and the tone when it comes to Dunn. 100% different.

Can someone remind Marty (and the legions of other Dunn bashers) that only 5 players in the Major Leagues this year have 100+ runs and 100+ rbi....FIVE.

    A-Rod
    Big Papi
    Maggs
    Holliday
    Dunn

Hmm? That is the production that will be easy to replace? Marty has become a caricature of himself, I'll say it again.

    Yeah, but he strikes out.

BTW, Dunn is batting .390 when he doesn't strike out.

    Yikes.

The only complaint I have about Dunn is that he doesn't change his swing once he gets two strikes. Unfortunately, not very many MLB players that do. So, it's even less of a complaint.

I use to like Marty, but he has gotten very harsh in his old age.

Sorta surprised Christian Laettner isn't on the list.

Outside of the Duke family, I don't think anyone liked him...

Hometown boy Johnny Lemaster made the list. Good for him.

Do the Cleveland fans really hate Tim Couch? It was the front office that picked him, he can't help it that he was not NFL material...

Can't believe Kobe isn't on that list.
