    Pro Bowl before Superbowl???

Something the NFL commish says can happen as early as 2009...

IMO, it is a bad idea. A super bowl bound player gets injured in the game & is unable to play in the big game...That's a no no. Unless of course the Super Bowl bound players do not participate in the All Star game.

I doubt their coaches would let them in the first place. I doubt they'd want to play in a pro bowl before a super bowl anyways.

I agree which makes it even that much more of an bad idea. The Super Bowl teams will have some stars on them that should be playing the Pro Bowl, so that would take away some of the star power which is what the Pro Bowl is about.

Horrible idea.. I don't see it panning out especially since you lose 5 or 6 studs off each superbowl team.

No chance it happens, or at least consist of Super Bowl hopeful participants.

There is a chance it happens but it will/should not consist of the Super Bowl bound players.

Great idea in my mind. Obviously, the Super Bowl bound players would be gone, but there are plenty of stars in the league to still generate interest and the players would be in better playing shape. Interest would be high since it would be taking place the dead week between conference championships and championship game. How many guys skip the Pro Bowl for "alleged" injuries anyway? Seems like they are usually the ones who make it to the final four teams and are just needing down time after the long season...

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?

Dear commish, please, please, please just get rid of the Pro Bowl.

I never watch it, but I'd say the players like the free trip to Hawaii. Keep it like it is IMO.

I can't stand to watch more than 5 minutes of the game, and it seems to accomplish nothing more than pointless injuries to players. It's not like they need a free trip to Hawaii but I guess if the players want to keep going then more power to them but I'll be watching something else.
