Mark "Bo" Pelini was born 6 weeks premature. He designed a blitz to help him escape from his mother's uterus early.

Scarry thing is that the bengals forced all those turnovers and still only won by 7. Im not sure if thats a reflection on how poorly we capitalize on mistakes or how good the Ravens might be to only lose by 7 after giving it up that much.

The goat was would have been Rudi had the Bengals D not held at the end. Sitting in endzone seats you can see things a little differently. One are the holes for the backs. There were not many for Rudi, but he seemed to miss a couple also. And to get Rudi to the edge they must pitch the ball, he cannot get to the corner on a handoff play.

Congrats to the Bengals, I didn't think you'd escape this one but I was proven wrong.

Defensive line won this ballgame and thats all I am saying. Peko, Geathers, Meyers, all of those guys should be commended. LB's still need work and Rudi needs to run the ball like he did in the 2nd half , the whole game and stop tiptoe'n looking for a hole. just run Rudi !!!!

Or................how the Bengals offense needs to cash in better off of a turnover. Regardless, a Win is a Win and I am sure those things will be addressed.

I thought the Bengals were going to lose that game and am happily starting today dead wrong. I won't re-has all that has been said here, but the old saying is good teams capitalize on breaks, and they did. Even after the "apparently" bogus pass interference (made moreso by the fact that the same back-judge threw a flag on the Bengals on the next play) the Bengals still had to hold up when the Ravens got 1st and goal from the 5. That is the first series for a Bengal opponent that started inside the 10 that didn't result in a TD since 2005. Good time for it.

I'm happy to say I hope my pre-season prediction of 7-9 turns out to be dead wrong, and it sure feels good to be 1-0 and heading to Cleveland, but it's only week #1 and Marvin certainly has plenty of areas to coach up.

Very, very good win against a quality opponent, on your home field, on National TV. Take it...

ESPN had the Bengals with 24 points off of TOs

I swear, if I hear one more idiot call into Cincy radio today complaining about the offense, I'm going to jump out my window!

    Did we win this game?

    Can we just enjoy it?

The offense struggled.........ok, it's the number 1 run D in the league. And a top 3 D overall. the D stepped up, let's enjoy it!

    This is driving me crazy!

I agree The Bengals competed in a very physical game. The Ravens bring that tough swagger and I think the Bengals D matched that. Going to be a lot of guys in the whirlpools today

Was it just me or was there some major hits laid last night?

Ray Ray played with a torn bicep/tricep. I'm guessing he went into the locker room at halftime and ate some carrots and had a bit of textured sweet feed...

Still concerned about the OL and I think the Bengals lack of being able to run the ball while TJ and Chad are being doubleteamed shows the OL is a work in process.

Very good win inside the division.

This is a two team race between Steelers and Bengals.
