One thing I didn't get was they wouldn't bring Shane in on about a 52 yard FG or so but they kept letting him kick it off. If he was hurting that much why not let Larson squib kick on down there.

True, but with all the talk about NE and Indy, I thought they deserved to be mentioned.

I with you on that one! Landon every year since he has been here, just goes out there and gets his job done, but usually never gets much recognition...

New England and Indy we agree on

I think San Diego is just one notch below those 2.

Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Denver, Cincy, and get this Houston, battle it out for the other 3
    Looks about right...

How about Leon Hall tonight. Pretty solid job for the rook.

With that said I think the Bengals could've won by atleast 14 if the Ravens and the Bengals knew we had a field goal game tonight. Every time we got within field goal range the fan's got quiet.
You do realize that the Bengals had pretty much just as many personell issues as the Ravens did...Not many teams can go without 3 of their starting lineman against the Ravens and still win...Not to mention Joseph also being banged up still for the bengals and Dexter going out of the game for awhile as well...So it was pretty even when it came to both teams having injury problems in the game..

I thought that was pretty darn close to being a fumble on the one he stripped mason and then picked up the ball and started running with it...

I would have never thought Carson had a 100 + QB rating. He is going to have a very special year. Him and Tab really need to get on the same page. They have been like that since preseason.

Def. looked like OPI from where I was... It looked pretty obvious, that Heap extended his arms fully to push away from DJ...

Great game by the Bengals... Get this, the DEFENSE carried them pretty much the whole game.. Ha ha... and how bout those D linemen with the big picks? great game...

What a run of emotions in this one. The Bengals were the worst team in football on defense in '06 inside the 5 yard line. Tonight they turned in one of the grittiest performances I've seen in quite some time. Special teams has to be a concern. I'm sure Graham had to look good during practice this week but I really thought they should have punted instead of attempting the 52 yarder. Shane is automatic in the 40's but on his best day 52 is a stretch and at that point I would have rather seen them going for field position. Then the total breakdown on the PAT, poor coverage before half allowing the Ravens to cut it to two points. Also punting from the 35 yard line, gaining a whole 15 yds of field position. What ever happened to the "coffin corner"? Then the return by Reed on the punt, seemed like they did much better on coverage when Larson booted one that didn't penetrate the clouds. Always nice to get a win to open the season, and winning in division is even better but I bet Simmons will be looking for answers come this morning. This is my 4th season with tickets and I've never heard PBS louder than tonight. The long faces with 11 minutes left turned around quite quickly once Geathers made that incredible interception.

I thought that the goat of the game would have to be Tab Perry. He had at least 3 or 4 opportunities tonight to step up and make some decent plays, but failed every time...

Excellent play he made in the endzone and he assisted on a strip I believe. He is not the burner. He is a cover corner. JJ is going to be the burner once Deltha is gone.

A great way to start the season against a big division rival. Let's hope the defense shows that kind of intensity all year long. On to Cleveland.
