Andrew Bynum Suspended for 2 Games

One more example of why I don't care for the NBA today. I don't have a problem with the suspension as it was a class A cheap shot.

What I do have a problem with is that none of the TWolves on the floor went after Bynum. You can't let a teammate go down hard like that and then just stand around. Someone needed to punch Bynum in the mouth to let him and the Lakers know that the cheap shot was unacceptable.

    Give me the 80s Lakers/Celtics.

    1. Suspension should be longer, there was no intent to go after the ball, it was purely a forearm/elbow to the chest.
    2. Twolves are soft and weak

Phil Jackson is great. He will be missed along with his great one liners. I am not sure there is a more manipulative person in the history of sports: "I think the 'el flagrante' is a good call," said Jackson, supporting the rule while at the same time poking fun at the league for its Noche Latina promotion that mandated L.A. wear "Los Lakers" jerseys when the Lakers played "El Heat" in Miami recently. "So, we'll just have to abide by it and just let the league make their decisions and hope that they'll be better judges on it."

Kobe on the incident: When asked about Bynum's suspension following Sunday night's game, Kobe Bryant said he was "proud of him.""He earned his stripes," Bryant said.

That was one of the dirtiest things I've seen in a basketball game. Was the whole game chippy?

I cannot advocate punching Bynum in the mouth, but you better believe that he'd be picking himself up off the floor next time he touched the ball down low.

It was dirty but come on that isn't even close to as bad as I thought it would be after reading the comments from you guys. Not sure what the deal was with Bynum it's not like he has a history of being dirty. I hate Beasley and he is a punk so I could careless.

I tried to justify it as a hard foul, but Bynum didn't even make an attempt at the ball.

I was a bit surprised that none of Beasley's teammates stood up for him, although I wouldn't expect any of them to throw punches.

Tells me all I need to know about what they think about him. You can't justify a hard foul, I have no idea what Bynum was doing.

I liked the foul. Sending a message. If Bynum really wanted to hurt him he could have. I just think it was a hard foul. Suspension didn't bother me either. It's the rules....blah blah blah. Give me 80's style basketball all day.

From the comments I thought he'd be throwing hay makers at his family jewels.

No doubt. I thought it was a hard foul to the chest/sternum without intent to murder, maim or paralyze. People will start to think twice when entering the paint against Bynum even more now. The foul has served its purpose.
