  1. Ok, well I'll be in the minority with you then. :creepy: The thing that really sets them over the edge for me is the helmet. A Yellow helmet? Ugh..........they look like a small college or h.s. team.

  3. I'm not sure how the Bengals will do but I really have a tough time believing they won't make the playoffs, and would lean towards them winning the division as well. I was very unimpressed by Tenn., Jaxsonville, and Denver this weekend. Indy and NE are cleary a cut above the rest of the teams, but I think the Bengals have to be in that next tier. Who else would you put ahead of them? Pittsburgh? I can maybe even buy that, but then who?
  4. :thumb: :thumb: Sometimes we forget that there is a human element to this as well. It's not like he had the 15 replays that we all had to make the decision. I've seen worse not called and I've seen calls with even less contact.
  5. Again, by the book it is the correct call. A bit ticky tacky for my taste, especially at that point in the game, but correct as per the rules nonetheless.

  7. Definite YES on the trade. The sheer number of opportunities for Deuce to score will translate into him having a better season than Edge. Not only that, but your upgrading at QB to Kitna, who I also really like this year. And you get Morency to go with Jackson, essentially giving you the starter in GB(and a 3rd RB) no matter how that race shakes out. The only thing I might suggest is to remove the peripheral players such as the TE's and kickers, unless those are somehow "deal breakers". I see this all the time, someone throws in this TE and this kicker and somehow the deal is supposed to be sweeter??
  8. While I don't think that a program like NCC will be "blown out" I do think that Ryle will WEAR them out. I too have had the opportunity to see both play, and I think that Ryle has the better team at this point. That's not saying that NCC CAN'T win, but I think if Ryle executes and does the little things then they will come away with a W. Ryle just has too many big bodies and will simply wear NCC out in the 2nd half. I think its a close one to the half, with Ryle pulling away late and winning by 2 TD's. I'm not sure why the 'Breds fans are so up in arms about some of the predictions. I think some may be reading too much into a win against a very, very bad Covington Catholic(by their standards) team. Don't get me wrong, the 'Breds are a good football team, and will do well in Class AA, but I just don't think they have the horses to upset the Raiders this year.

  10. I would tend to agree with the banded watersnake.......except geez is it HUGE! Wish I had a better picture of the head to be sure(also to see if it was going to shed its skin soon), why didn't you climb down closer? Seriously though, beautiful pictures and some fine specimens at that.
  11. I completely agree with the bolded parts. There just aren't as many good cartoons out there these days. Hearsay, try Avatar: The Last Airbender....I personally haven't found it terrible, and the kids really like it. Of course, this is coming from a former Smurfs fan.......
  12. I'm probably dating myself a bit here but here goes..... Transformers GI Joe He Man and The Masters of the Universe Rocky and Bullwinkle Garfield Space Ghost Coast to Coast Tale Spin Rescue Rangers Duck Tales Woody Woodpecker and Chilly Willy the Penguin Thundercats(Ho!) Alvin and the Chipmunks I'm honestly appalled that these last two were left out...... Spiderman X-Men As I'm sure you can tell, I spent a lot of time watching cartoons as a kid. Heck, I still watch them now with the kids(or at least that's what I tell everyone  ) And for the record, I don't think that The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, etc., etc. fall into the "cartoon" category. More of animated adult entertainment IMO.

  14. I don't think showing good sportsmanship should be considered "weak". Shouldn't we teach our kids to root for their team rather than against the other team? Furthermore, this is considered a bit bush league, especially at higher levels, so why encourage it at the lower levels?
  15. The main problem is this is that it is directly prohibited by the rules of the game under Knothole and HS rules. I think the old saying "one bad apple ruins the bunch" applies here. Some kids just take it a little too far. IMO it is a bit bush league and is something that should be phased out of the game. I think it would be much more along the lines of good sportsmanship to root for you team by saying "here we go (pitchers number)" than too root "against" the other team.
