  1. Not at all, I thought because he is from there, he would be the next pick, behind Billy of course. He seems to want to run his basketball program after his uncle, Which is a good thing if you have the talent pool Billy has.
  2. Dont be making fun of people who ride the short bus. It may come back on you in the future. I will say that Rose Hill as far as I have seen has the hardest schedule of anyone in the 16th region. Yes they are young but the only way to improve is to play stronger teams. My hat is off to them. What good does it do to win every game by 50 if you know going in that you are the better team. Yes Elliott is the best team in the region, (there I said it.) But are they satisfied where they are, or would it help them to play a harder schedule????? You don't have to win every game to improve.
  3. I heard Jim Bob Hicks will be the next coach. Anyone else heard this????
  4. It is great to here Tater tot is doing better. My little girl rolled my ATV over on her in front of me and it scared me and her to death. I thought she was hurt bad. I am sure gald the good lord was watching over her, she had to have surgery on her knee but other than that she is fine. Our children are what keeps us going every day, and we sure hate to see them hurt. Again I am glad tater tot is doing better, We at Greenup hope he heals 110%. And by the way I hope everyone has a Merry CHRISTmas!!!!!! :ylsuper::thumb:
  5. I think Greenup will win this one!!! Greenup can score points, There defense on the other hand needs some work. It is very early in the season but once they learn to rotate, and anticipate the long pass, and the weak side busting there butt to get back on defense, and everyone crashing the boards they will surprise a lot of people. I understand that the quicker the other team shoots the ball, the quicker greenup gets a chance to score, but Greenup needs to limit the second, third and forth put backs. GO GREENUP!!!!! It is fun to watch. Again the show they put on is great, but controlled chaos is better than uncontrolled chaos. GO GREENUP
  6. No disrespect to the Bath County players at all. My question is did Bath Co. play this team last year?? I have only heard of this team one other time. I think, quote me if I'm wrong tried to be scheduled last year at the Greenhouse.
  7. I have heard different stories about what happened to get the fan thrown out of the game. Can someone that knows please inform us of the facts not rumors??????
  8. The measure of a good competitor or coach is someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to win. At the beginning of the season Greenup coaches thought Passing the ball 90% of the time was their best bet, But after 5 or 6 games thought they would try a more balanced offense. They didn't know if it would work or not but they knew they had to try something. For all you people thinking coach Sammons didn't want to win..... I have known him since grade school and whether it was on the baseball field, the basketball court, or the football field I have never questioned his desire to win... My hat is off to you COACH SAMMONS you took Greenup to a DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!:dancingpa:dancingpa
  9. I agree GREAT WIN COACH SAMMONS, and GREAT WIN GREENUP
  10. Greenup WINS on last play of the game WAY TO GO GREENUP!!!!
  11. And please don't give me that everybody gets a trophy crap. Nice rhetoric, but totally hollow. They are getting into the playoffs. Big blooming deal. That's no accomplishment; that's no trophy. Its only an opportunity to make an accomplishment. Nothing more; nothing less Very well said, Some teams take longer to come together. This is High School football. Give the underdog a chance. Everyone loves a Cinderella story!!!!!!! :ylsuper::ylsuper:
