  1. Only $497.7 billion more and Obama will have enough to cover his healthcare plan. Next company to fine... Johnson and Johnson.
  2. Anyone remember who the Hokies starting TB was when the 2008 season started? It wasn't Darren Evans... Darren first started in the 7th game after Kenny Lewis Jr. suffered a season ending ACL injury. VT has two other studs to take over for Darren while he recuperates...
  3. The first class I went to in college, the professor put everything into perspective. It was an advanced chemistry class for freshman. He asked, "How many of you are academically above average?". Everyone in the room raised their hand. He then replied, "Half of you are wrong".
  4. Per the Daily Independent, Mike Terry and Kayla Day have been enrolled at Fairview. http://www.dailyindependent.com/columns/local_story_225221603.html?keyword=secondarystory

  7. Judging by the over-abundance of clover in my front yard, it has been very rainy and cool.
  8. Louisville ranks in the worst 5 of cities it's size when it comes to hours waiting in traffic. http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=200990708002 However, I'd take it any day over Lexington's "Spoke and Wheel".

  10. I once considered myself republican, but now I consider myself libertarian. What caused the change? Rush Limbaugh. Rush's arrogance and pompous attitude make me sick. Rush's radio show encourages dogmatic beliefs in that every democrat is wrong, making every republican right. I tend to play "devil's advocate" and try to see issues from different perspectives. I don't agree with every libertarian view point, but my core political beliefs are in line with the libertarian party.
  11. Larry, I whole-heartedly agree with your stance on drinking and driving, but I don't think prohibition or limiting alchohol sales to certain days will make any difference. Instead of stopping alchohol sales, why don't we enforce higher penalties on those who drink and drive. First DUI = revoking license for 6 months; Second DUI = revoke license permanently. Having tougher penalties will make some people think twice about drinking and driving. In the state of Kentucky, DUI is not a felony until you are charged with 4 DUI's in a five-year timeframe. Anyone else see the stupidity in this?

  13. ...so all you have to do is hold this rattlesnake head in your mouth and I'll snap the picture...
  14. Congratulations! You are now the trainer of a Kentucky Derby winning horse... how long did it take you to get to the track? Anyone else think that was stupid question? Sure, the fact that he drove his own horse 21+ hours to Louisville made for a good story, but that story had already been told so many times before. Why not ask him if he thought Mine That Bird could pull off the triple-crown? Why not ask if he was headed for the Preakness? At least disguise the 21-hour drive story in another question... so how long will it take you to drive Mine That Bird to Maryland? Stupid questions deserve to get snide remarks.
