  1. And that is all I was thinking....does he need a new challenge?
  2. I understand 100% what you are saying. In fact my initial thoughts were exactly the same as yours but I just started tossing some other ideas around in my head (which is usually never good🤣).
  3. When you first say "Dan Hurley," the thought crosses immediately to "Why would he leave his set up at UConn?" I have no idea about Dan Hurley but my thoughts are this: Especially if he wins tonight......what more does he have to accomplish at UConn vs trying to "rebuild" Kentucky into a national champion. Is he looking for the next challenge? What does his ego need? More money....I have to believe UK will pay him more. Regardless of recent success, UK is a national product...much more than UConn. I would put Duke, UK, North Carolina and UCLA in those "national product" type places. So while at first thought it takes me to why would he, I know shift to why would he not want the challenge???
  4. How did he do at Villanova....really was not paying attention to him even being there.
  5. Not sure who is the ace of the staff. They are pretty deep and I think it will shake out in a few weeks. Barth, DeSylva, Wiggins and Schneider all have good enough stuff to be an ace.
  6. NO its just bad typing. As I restated it should have said number 4......☹️
  7. Does not say number one...in fact says no number because I was posting from my phone. Should say number 4. Sorry😄
  8. All I can say is Cooper is by far playing better than anyone in the region. Maybe in the state.
  9. Spot on. Honestly I think Ryle may have been the number team in the region this year. Plus I have my own opinion of Lloyd when it comes to the coaching staff and their capabilities. But as you said Cooper, CovCath and Newport then a huge gap to Ryle, Lloyd, Dixie, Beechwood et al.
  10. I think UK can win this game but they need the offensive explosiveness they have had recently. I think a game in he 70's or below is what Tennessee wants.
  11. Ryle pulled up a lot on shots for short to mid range jumpers instead of going into the teeth of Newport's defense. Not a bad strategy they just needed to shoot a little better. Played a very solid game.
  12. Newport was much more aggressive going to the basket, which has more to do with getting fouls than the style of defense you play. Many times zones, especially by teams that do not play them regularly leads to reaching on defense as players try to drive in seams. While I was not overly impressed with the officials I do not think they favored one way or the other. Some good calls and some bad calls both ways.
  13. Tommy Sorrell has always done a fantastic job as head coach! This was really a culmination of years of hard work. A trip to regjonals!!!
  14. Good solid season for the Tigers this year. Some nice wins and some really close "almost" nice wins. I like the Mertens kid coming back for next season. His dad was a really nice point guard back in the day for the Tigers. Zack a much better scorer.
