Are there any D1 college commits coming from Desales this year?

i would like to pick monroe in this one but its hard to do that against 2 time state champs...dont know much about desales other than their defensive hype...but i do know that when a game matters monroe really steps up and they deffinately have the players to do it! Just depends on who shows up...how is desales offense progressing?

Both teams are ranked # 10 in their class with Wayne being in 4A i would assume they have the edge in this one. Can Monroe come together and get the win? Will either team truly play this game or just try to get by injury free and get ready for the playoffs?

I was at the Bowling Green Game when Monroe played them and thought Monroe played them considerably well for what they were up against..and they came out and destroyed Warren East in their 2nd game. After that they kinda start going down hill. It looks like to me the teams they played after didnt have as much hype on them. Is it possible that the kids enter these games with no hype and expect to win, get smacked in the mouth by a lesser talented team, then decide they need to step it up or lose? Because Monroe doesnt actually start playing till usually in the 4th when the game is to close for comfort. Hopefully they are the kinda team that plays better when they know they are going to be up against something. I dont think Wayne county will show that, not sure if they will play to their full ability to save it for the playoffs. Desales will be the next challenge for them and monroe will be an underdog in that game for sure. And Monroe always brings something come play off time. As a fan it just scares me to death not being confident and knowing what we will be seeing during playoff time.

Monroe barely squeaked by.. Glasgow imo was the better team tonight! They wanted this game something awful and Monroe came out for the first half and played with no heart i was starting to wonder if the kids even wanted to be there! Other than that i think the coaching was off for the falcons in this one...with 4 min to go after monroe takes the lead instead of running the clock out they throw it for a pick 6 and the momentum shifted back and fourth from there. After monroe scored their final TD Glasgow took over with a min left and threw down MC throat and made it to the 4 yard line with about 11 sec and monroe ended up making 3 big stops in the red zone. Not sure what was going on with Glasgows clock but not so sure it was a mechanical error. Either way Monroes Defense is still looking solid majority of the time but there offense needs a ton of work or needs a different play caller..They did finally switch to a wildcat set which completely turned their game around and Glasgow could not stop it! still waiting to see monroe come together and when and if they do not sure if anybody in 2a will be able to stop them. Glasgow is a really good football team and one of their best recievers #2 was out for this game. To be as young as they are, I see them doing some great things in the next couple of years they are going to be a very talented group..congrats on the win Falcons! Get back to work this week to clinch a district title and get ready for a very tough playoff bracket!!

Monroes Defense has stepped up tremendously this year not counting the Bg game, has only allowed 13 points for any other team. So i have to say Monroes Offense was not the only thing that allowed them to get beat. FS ran it down monroes throat and it was basically from the same play. As far as offense i have no comment. Although, to me it seems they started the game very flat and didnt really pick it up till a few min in the 4th. Not the same Monroe team i saw in the first couple of games and i hope they are not getting the Big head syndrome from getting a few wins this early in the season! Hopefully this is a wake up call for them and they pull their heads out of the clouds. If not i think it may be a battle for district @ Glasgow. FS deserved this win and they showed a lot of class. I dont think they are ready to go head to head against south warren in district play but on friday nights anything can happen. Thats why you play the game! Good luck to both teams.

Monroe is playing some good football right now and still have some quirks to work out. Both teams have a load of seniors that can turn this into a big game. For Monroe Defense keep and eye on Gage Nelson#51, Trey whitlock#4, and Devin Young#13 to tear into the Back field and if you try to pass you'll have to get past Lincoln Keith#17, Ty Mink#7, and Dalton Emmert#5 interceptions for those 3 are starting to add up. and for the Offense you have Lincoln Arnett#2 at qb with Jordan Phillips#32, Tucker england#8, and Braxton Walker#6 in the backfield that are very tough to bring down and at wide outs you have deep threats in Kale Rich#24 and Ty mink#7. Mix all that with great special team playmakers ill take Monroe in this game. But Barren wont be the team to lay down after What some might call an upset by Glasgow last week they have playmakers in Nick Mabe#88 who can turn the game right around and Ellis Winnegar#5 who can run it down your throat and a massive line with qb andrew#7 Hughes leading the team. Sounds like the making of a pretty good game. Ill take Monroe in this one that will be closer than what most will think 35-14
