  1. I agree that Brown and Johnson are very solid players. They do have a very favorable schedule again this year, but I think am not sure that there is a supporting cast to help them. If they can not get some of their younger lineman to step in and have an immediate impact, it could make it hard for Brown to be effective. With the loss on James and Walls, Johnson will get a lot of attention.
  2. I got a chance to see the new Bullitt East team under Coach Sander run through some offense last night. It appears that they have scrapped the veer. They were throwing the ball all over the field. They really had a couple of long receivers and a really quick looking back coming out the back field. Not sure about the players names, but it really did look different. The receivers and the back appeared to have better speed than i have seen at BE before. Granted, from a team that ran smash mouth veer football any speed would be better than what they appeared to have in the past.
  3. This should be a very interesting year for North Bullitt. They have to replace some key players on an offense that put up over 4000 ydrs last year and went 9-3. Two really big holes are left by RB Logan James, who had over 1300 yrds and 18tds, and Dalton Walls, who had over 900 yrds, and 8 tds. They do return a very solid senior QB, Andrew Brown, and maybe their best all around player in Nate Johnson, but there are definitely some questions.

  5. Jacob Darnell, Bullitt East, 6'4" 285lbs FB/ DE. He was 1st team All District OL as a freshman, then had an injury plagued Sophomore year. They have apparently completely changed their offense with the new coaching staff. It looks like he will be someone to watch this year. Jacob Darnell - Hudl

These are the average amounts left the family will be responsible for. I did not include the FBS schools. They only offer full rides.
  7. Baseball games are about who is hot and when. The overall strength of bracket will have little to do with who wins the title game. That being said, there are no cake walks at this point of the season.
  8. The Bullitt East team is very athletic and has some good depth on the mound. BE should pull this one out.
  9. Yes, they have hired Matt Kuehn. He was the Defensive coordinator last year.
  10. I would say that BE gets edge again in this one.
  11. It is really sad how this is playing out. You have to feel bad for the players that are involved here. Their season is right around the corner. Other teams are preparing for the season, and they do not know who there coach is.
  12. I keep hearing Adam Perrys name connected with job, but I have also heard Preston King`s name.
  13. This job is not listed as open any longer. Have they found a new coach?
  14. Coach Thornsberry is a solid character guy. Scoring was off for them last year; they were however really handicapped with injuries and a transfer. First string QB from the year before missed the entire season, 2nd string transferred, 3rd string missed several games with injuries. They actually played a TE and Freshman (who is not a QB) in several games.
