  1. Well that would take the fun out of watching Etown murder everyone!
  2. Agreed. HC matches up well with Etown. I'm thinking that they will make it a game for a little while, but Etown will eventually go on the quick scoring spurts that they normally do and put the game away. Unreal what those girls did last night against Mercer! They definitely made a huge statement with that opening round game. I believe the message was "this is our tourney, get out of the way!" LOL!
  3. Mercer did not stand a chance! I've never seen a team get mercy ruled in the State Tourney! WOW!
  4. E-Town Starters: 5'8", 5'8", 5'9", 6'2", 6'2" Anyone know what HC Starters are looking like?
  5. As an E-Town Fan, HC is really the only team that I am concerned with. I watched them play earlier in the year at the Lexington Tourney and thought that they were a really good team. The day after, they lost to East Carter by 11 and E-Town turned around and beat EC by 17. I'll admit, I was a little surprised by that. I don't know what EC did to beat HC, or even if HC just had a bad game, but I'm sure that HC is even better now. I agree RCC9, both teams match up pretty well with the advantage going to E-Town because of their athleticism. I believe E-Town's guard play will be intimidating to HC guard's and on top of that Erin Boley cannot be stopped!
  6. Boley leads the scoring for E-Town most of the time, but besides her, there are 3 other Division 1 signees and one heavily recruited PG who comes off of the bench for them. It is normal for them to have atleast 4 players in double figures every night. E-Town has too many weapons!!
  7. They are also #9 in the ESPN Rankings. I don't see E-Town losing this Tourney. I know that E-Town has a target on their backs, but I think what people fail to realize is that everyone else has a target on their backs in E-Town's eyes! Those girls have a very sour taste in their mouth's from last years Championship Game loss and from the time that final buzzer went off last year, every one of those girls were determined to come back and murder everyone in the upcoming season. If you saw these girls in their District and Region Tourney's, you could absolutely tell what was on their minds. They didn't even cut down the nets when they won the District Title, and when they won Region there was no real celebration, jumping up and down, etc. They all simply walked over to the Nelson County players and shook their hands as if it were just another game! It has been all business for these young ladies all season long with one goal in mind. It is going to be fun to see who challenges them in State and how they respond!
  8. Apologies, I did not see the post that you were replying to.
  9. "NC should've won that one but couldn't get it done on the final plays."???.......NC was down by 12 at the half. E-Town came out in the 3rd Quarter and put a 16-5 run on NC to end that quarter. Final score was a blowout. The only moment that the NC fans had to cheer about is when NC started the game 4-0. They were all to quite after that. Not to take anything away from NC, but even with them firing on all cylinders, they are/were hardly the team to take down E-Town! I do agree with you on Miss Calbert....she was phenomenal!! Very bright future for her!
  10. Also played E-Town twice. They got smashed both times, but hey, they played them!
  11. Now that would be very difficult to answer! But, to name a few..... E-Town Butler Anderson Co. Sacred Heart Lafayette Simon Kenton Ballard Marshall Co. played some good teams last year East Carter played some good teams last year
  12. .....sort of like Gonzaga, for instance; and we see this year after year with them. #3 in the Nation, 1-1 vs. top 25 teams, 3-0 vs. teams in the 26-50 ranking, and 3-0 vs. teams in the 51-100 ranking. The rest of their wins (19) are against teams that are nationally 101 and lower. So, are they really worthy of the #3 tag? Probably not! And we will see them get upset in the Tourney, just like every other year, due to their lackluster schedule!
  13. All I'm implying is that some teams outside of this list have grown from playing some very good teams, which will show in the Post Season. That said, I also believe that some of the "top tier" teams will get upset because of the lack of growth due to their lackluster schedules. So on the flip side, a good team with a lackluster schedule does not necessarily indicate that they are really that good, also....
  14. Some teams have had a more grueling schedule than others, for sure. It is the coaches responsibility, through scheduling, to test their teams throughout the season in order to get them prepared for the Post Season. I think that we all see a few teams on this list that have not had a strong schedule and have not been "battle tested" as some of the other teams have throughout the year. More than likely, those are the teams that are going to get upset during the Post Season. I think that their are some teams that are outside of this list that have had a very strong schedule but weren't able to pull of so many wins against "ranked" opponents, but have grown and matured considerably because of those "ranked" losses. Those teams will definitely cause a stir in the Post Season.
