  1. Central gets a nice win in the Bullitt county battle 9-7. Pretty sloppy game from East. Great game plan for Central took away the running game forced the game on QB. QB got zero help as there were at least 10-12 drops. East missed 2-3 FGs in the game had 3/4 turnovers. Really lucky the game was as close as it was. Central should have scored couple more times. Central defense hard nosed tough defense. Congrats to BC good win.
  2. Bullitt East is the best team in Bullitt County IMO. The offense is putting up incredible numbers against decent competition. The defense is playing better and better every week. If those trends continue then BE could potentially run the table...
  3. Appears Bullitt East is starting to gather some steam after early season defensive struggle. The offense is putting up some major points avg 46 a game. They play at Bullitt Central this week who is coming off a cross town loss to North Bullitt. BC has been fairly strong in the defensive department only giving up 11 points a game. On paper this should be a battle of each teams strengths. Im taking BE to win this one as they are clicking on all channels right now. What does the forum think who wins and why?
  4. Such a shame really. I understand rules are rules but in now way did she cause the rockets to lose. This shouldnt be a forfeit but i have no clue how you would punish BE for the rules violation. There are a lot of other rules violations that go unreported or are swept under the rug in High School sports...Kudos to BE for reporting it on themselves.
  5. Got out to watch the game last night. East wins 4-2 over Male. Good win for East. Both teams pretty equal as you would expect. Not a lot of offense in the game. Both pitchers were fairly dominant I think there were only a handful of hits for each team. Both teams had some help scoring but the Male error by far and away was the most costly. Scoring as i recall Male scores 1 in the top of 4th Leadoff walk, misplayed bunt, sac bunt, ground out to first run scored, ground out to second. BE answers with 1 in the bot of 4th. HR by Roby Male scores 1 in the 5th Leadoff walk, Steals second, Sac bunt, Flare to right center scores run, ground out BE responds with 3 in the bot of 5th HBP, 2 out crucial error in right dropped fly ball, single to right scores one, Roby triples to right scoring 2, ground out. Couple of things in the 5th. the error in right was play of the game IMO. That was on the leadoff hitter bringing the meat of BE lineup to the plate with runners on. On the triple for Roby apparently that was supposed to be an intentional walk that was either missed or just a bad pitch out. Right after the play the HC for Male runs to the mound and is fairly demonstrative toward the pitcher and catcher about it. I was down LF line and could clearly hear him yell at the pitcher "that was supposed to be a walk how the hell does she hit it off the fence, you have to do what i ask you to do or you may not be on the team much longer" He looks at the catcher and ask her "what the hell happened do you not understand the part of a walk". Then the Ump broke up the meeting. The Male HC is one of the best in knowing the rule book and teaching his players techniques but with that said he is one of the most obnoxiuos coaches i have ever seen. Im sure he has his teams best interest in mind but his actions on the filed make the program and himself look really bad.
  6. Coached a few of these girls at BE. They are legit contenders if the Pitching can stay healthy. Leadoff might be fastest in the state. Took a few years of teaching her to slap but once she got it she is a very tough out. Just about all singles for her are doubles with her ability to steal. She is a table setter and the power in the lineup following her should make this team tough to keep off the scoreboard. Roby is a great pitcher with great stuff. Mix the 2 ingredients together and a championship is possible. Will need more than Roby on the mound in the long run and have to stay healthy.
  7. I coached for a long time and yes most players are different in pads. I disagree with you on what it tells you..it can tell you a lot more about your team than you think. There are pros and cons about both, By your logic 7on7 should be not looked at since they dont have pads on. I personally think 7on7 is a much better guage of your talent than a full contact practice in the spring. Everyone will be able to tell first padded practice who likes contact and who doesnt. The only issue with 7on7 is the lines dont get work. However with todays game being all about the uptempo passing game the skill players are where all the attention seems to go to. Even though us old school lineman know without us those skill players cant do much....
  8. New coach prolly needs more evaluation time on the players than he does hitting and such. A good coach will scheme around his talent IMO. So first step is to find what talent the team has. This is a process the previous coach didnt do too much.
  9. Anyone see any of these games? Sounds like a talented field was wondering who looked prime for a great season. I heard Bullitt East looked strong but havnt heard much from anyone else.
  10. Kameron Hinkley DB/WR from Bullitt East commited to Kentucky Christian today
  11. KCU officially offered partial last week. Small school with great chance to see the field early. He has a couple more schools interested that could offer soon.
  12. 1500 is absurd, They are negotiable, I paid them 250 and they included a Princeton online ACT review course for as long as needed. Thats the only way I would sign with them. The course itself is 299.00 so I paid for the ACT course and got the recruiting service for free IMO. They will get your video to smaller schools outside your state. They will give you a fairly honest review of your video and help retool it to best show attributes. That is the best thing we got from them. Service is nothing great but serviceable no way is it worth 1500.00.
  13. NCSA will offer you a decent offer on Princeton ACT review if you sign up with them. Or atleast they did last year. The ACT program is 299 to buy but NCSA gave it to us when we signed up so it only cost like 100 bucks to sign up. As for the service its decent. they open a lot of info that you can prolly find on your own but they compatmentalize it so its simpler for the athlete to do. We have gotten 2 scouting reports from NCSA on his video. The first was pretty accurate in what I see his abilities are the 2nd one was a tad better. Nothing overwhelming but not selling him short either. I agree 1000% with what was said earlier no D1 school is really using it. Alot of the smaller schools do however. We have gotten about 75-100 coaches that want him to come to camps and visits. Almost all of them are out of state. Hopefully it will lead to an offer if he can get his ACT score where it needs to be....
  14. BE is an abject disaster. The program has lacked any discipline the past 2 years I know for sure. When players can miss practice and all they have to do to play that week is sweep the locker room sends the wrong message. I know some misses are inevitable but too many times this past season players were planning to miss knowing they had minimal to do to be able to play Friday night. Mix that with the previous coach not wanting to adapt his coaching style to the players talents and make the program something you want to play for caused many players to quit. The team has a ton of raw talent but the lack of quality coaching has all but destroyed the program. Whomever takes it over will have their hands ful trying to right the ship IMO...
