  1. In your opinion, who are the top five best girls basketball coaches still coaching girls basketball in Kentucky?
  2. In your opinion who are your top five "Best Boys Basketball Coaches" in the state of Kentucky that are currently still coaching?
  3. Seemed to go very well. Approx. 75 student athletes in attendance. Seemed to be around 20 high school coaches throughout the day working the floor and there were many college coaches or assistants in attendance. Two sessions each for the Srs. and Jrs.
  4. The Ky-Allstars will have 40 Sr boys at try outs in Georgetown. Every head basketball coach has the right to vote for ten players. The player of the year from each region gets an automatic invite. The additional players are selected by the ballots turned in by the head coaches. The team is then chosen after try outs by the 16 coaches that won coach of the year in their region. No politics unless coaches decide not to vote. Indiana's team is selected by the game director and a few advisors.
  5. Ticket sales and comps were at 2127. Some bleed off after the girls game. Second year in Louisville, looking for ways to to have bloggers like those at Bluegrass and others to leave their houses and support the game and as a result the Charity. Ticket prices at this event for a two game series seem to be in line with those around the country. Would someone come for $12.00 and $18.00? Dealing with economy, time constraints, internet, and a myriad of other compelling reasons not to drive and watch a two game series. However; great media attendance. 64 print media credentials and 26 photo requests. Ky needs some wins, fixes alot.
  6. Game was in Indiana. Ky coaches did an excellent job. Faulkner kids like having extra coaches. Butler was a great surprise, added alot of speed and ball handling skills. Indiana is big, big and had more success with the three. Mr. Basketball from Indiana was neutralized, but others filled in. Tomorow at Bellarmine, Ky. will have to challenge some of those threes and keep their big men from dominating inside. Looking forward to it.
  7. Last year 15 players were chosen to scrimmage 2 games against the seniors. This year coaches wanted a try out to start a system and be able to identify players in advance. Players also were filmed for college coaches recognition. Three major college coaches and four others have already requested film. Next years plans are to have a similiar workout to Indiana's and to have a one game series against Indiana's Juniors. Seems to be a process headed in the right direction but with some growing pains.
  8. Number of Juniors showing up after AAU games, some by passed games. Some of the try outs are being filmed and put on the All-Stars web site at some College Coaches request.
  9. Does anyone have the list of Juniors invited to the Kentucky All-Star try-outs this weekend?
  10. You can buy tickets at http://www.kyallstars.net
  11. I would say that the coaches knew that they had a size disadvantage and had to look at those that would concentrate and be aggressive on defense at all times. I will have to agree, they have two no nonsense coaches that will challenge them as they have not been before. Good Luck
