That Happy was staying for 1 year. Only the parents, fans and players were convinced that. Happy would be back. Happy was brought in for one reason and one reason only and that was to coach Omar Pruitt and get him to the Sweet 16. The AD will not have a say so in who will be hired just like he didn't when Happy was hired. Phil Rison will do the hiring and it will be him alone who makes the hire. Hundley would be my first call and he would come in a minute if they pay him anywhere close to what they paid Happy. Rison will get the best coach available and I'm sure he will get a good one. They need to send all the assistants packing. They were just a waste of space all 15 of them.

GRC's Taylor Howard signs with Asbury College

I was fortunate enough to Coach Taylor in baseball when he was 9 yrs old. I knew then that Taylor was going to be a good baseball player someday. He is such a good kid and i am so proud of him. He is was a leader on the court and i hope my son is half the kid Taylor Howard is. Good Luck Taylor! -
Montgomery County - great tournament hosts

I heard the AD giving the coaches heck behind their back for not working on the field in between games when they actually was working on it. The AD worked hard sitting at the front gate taking up the rosters from each team as they came in. Monthomery might not have the best AD but they got the laziest and thats a fact. Great Job Coach Combs! You are a much better man than the AD! -
Robbie Garaham was the best man for the Job in my opinion. Robbie was a standout basketball player in High School and will get the Cardinals back on the map to Bowling Green. He has a daughter who is the best point guard in the 10th region and with a little help from a supporting cast of players they will give Montgomery County a run for their money to cut down the nets. Clark County does it the right way and hires the best coaches possible thats why no other school has the tradition they have. I give this a A+ hire.

Montgomery County Baseball coach resigns
Indians Fan replied to Kentucky Baseball Source's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
Gold Sunrise I agree that this move is only going to hurt the kids. The AD had it out for Combs from day one because Combs couldn't get a schedule to him of baseball games in Winter time when the schedule wasn't made. The AD is staying two years while he collects his $85,000 a year while padding his retirement. The man treats people like dirt and several teachers knew combs woukd be a short timer under this clown. Happy was paid me close to$188,00 which included a high paying position for his wife plus $20,000 to put down on a house. I hear MC may try to get former UK baseball coach Keith Madison but he wont answer to the AD...lol -

I agree with everything you say about this siruation. This actually happened a couple weeks ago. The AD has come in and destroyed MC Athletics after being hired by his buddy Josh Powell who is Superintendent. This AD has never been sucessful at anything and many will tell you he was lost at the 10thbaseball Region basketball tournament and Phil Rison had to bail him out. Coach Combs will be coaching next year because their are to many schools who want a good coach who will develope players. MC adminastration is getting laughed at over this one. -

Bopper is a great kid and will do well at Georgetown. I think you build a team around bopper and he will lead them to a championship.
