  1. There is no way that game on the football field could have possibly helped either team that much.
  2. I agree a press box would be a very very nice addition to the field, but with the set up they have now, I think it would be pretty tough to put it in.
  3. I wouldn't say we were all doubters, we just figured they should actually play the tournament instead of just handing them the trophy like you seemed to think they should do.
  4. I'd say St. Henry has the nicest field in NKY at least. Plenty of seating, nice dugouts, plenty of foul territory, warning track all around the field that is taken care of, pretty long fences, 330 in left 390 in center and 310 in right. Doesn't come without a lot of work from the players though!
  5. Every team has a fan like that. "Our team is better than everyone else and no one will even come close." Best to just ignore those people and have an intelligent conversation about basketball with the rest of the fans.
  6. A pretty darn close game for a team that is apparently a lock to win it all.
  7. It's not marked down as a foul unless the refs call it. Saying it's not a foul unless the ref calls it is like saying they never miss calls.
  8. While I do kind of see where they are coming from, any true basketball fan knows that there is nothing like seeing a game in person. Whether it is a 5th grade game up to an NBA game.
  9. You can add me to the list. No doubt I would buy a copy of that game.
  10. Completely agree with you. He is a Freshman and was absolutely pumped that he had just won the Regional Championship, as he should have been, so he let a little emotion out. BIG DEAL. The kid is 15, he is a Freshman in high school. I could find hundreds of pictures and videos of college and NBA players doing the same thing, and no one cares. Out of the almost 200 posts about this game I'd guess almost 50 of them are about that incident, and this post isn't helping obviously, but I was just amazed at how after a game, especially a game like this, all some pople want to talk about is a chest bump. Anyways, Great game and good luck to Dixie at Rupp!
  11. I saw 3 pictures taken in sequence at a very good angle of the shot as it happened and if you say it wasn't a foul, then we have VERY different definitions of a foul.
  12. At this point in the season you don't want to have to make big adjustments. The regular season is for preparing for the post season. You find a style of play that works for your team and work on it over the course of the regular season to get your team ready for the post season. If your team is a physical team, you find out how physical the refs in your region let teams be, and you go with it. You don't want refs in the regional tournament that blow the whistle at the slightest bit of contact because that is not how your team has been playing all season.
  13. That is a very good point, and if he didn't I wouldn't blame him, that kid is good. However, if he does stay in KY all through high school I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him score over 3000 assuming he stays healthy as mentioned before.
  14. I wasn't at the game but talked to a few people who were, and apparently there was contact. IMO, whether it is the end of the game or the beginning, if it is a foul it is a foul and you are supposed to call it. Doesn't matter if it is in the last few seconds and could decide the game. Your not 'Giving' the team the foul call, if it is a foul it is a foul and you call it.
  15. Holmes by 10+, I don't think Holmes will let any team come close to beating them that shouldn't beat them again after the loss againts Boone Co.
